Fabrice Muamba's thank-you cake for hospital staff

 Recovering ... Muamba in hospital

Hello Friends!

I amso grateful to God that Fabrice is doing great in the hospital...

GRATEFUL footie star Fabrice Muamba has given a giant 'Thank-you' cake to the hospital staff who battled to save him from the brink of death.

The Bolton Wanderers ace is expected to soon be transferred to a clinic in the North-west to be nearer his home.

And his parting gift to London medics is a 16-inch vanilla sponge cake iced with the words: "To all the Medical Staff at the London Chest Hospital that helped me on the road to recovery, from Fabrice Muamba and Family".

Muamba has made a startling recovery after being 'clinically dead' for 78 minutes following a cardiac arrest during his team's FA Cup tie against Tottenham last month.

Last week he celebrated his 24th birthday in hospital.

Despite his condition improving, it was still feared Mumba would never play professionally again.

But tests on the midfielder have reportedly revealed "no physical reason" why he cannot play again and resume his Premier League career in future seasons.

According to The Bolton News, heart specialists are poised to confirm they envisage no long-term issues that would prevent him taking to the pitch.

But before leaving the London Chest Hospital, Muamba is expected to be fitted with a special defibrillator pacemaker in case he suffers another cardiac arrest.

He is then expected to be admitted to Alexandra Hospital, in Cheadle, Cheshire, to be near the family home he shares with fiance Shaunna and young son Joshua.
