The young actress stepped out on Thursday wearing a sleeveless white jersey with the numbers 666 largely written on the front.

Perhaps the 21-year-old Emma is unaware that the six trio symbolises the Beast in the Bible's Book of Revelation, which scares a lot of people.

Emma, however, seemed completely at ease as she strolled down a West Hollywood boulevard with a male friend who had joined her on her shopping trip.

Her eccentric outfit also boasted faded blue jeans, rugged boots and a black jumper that was tied around her slender waist.

The Aquamarine star even showed some of her lacy black brassiere beneath her T-shirt.

She'd been shopping at the Marc Jacobs store on Melrose Place in West Hollywood and carried her relatively modest purchases - only two bags - slung over her left arm.

Emma wore her auburn hair pulled back in a bun and she was also sporting a chic pair of blue-tinted, tortoiseshell framed sunglasses.

Another accessory detail in Emma's favour during her shopping spree was that favourite red handbag that she juggled along with her packages.

Emma, the daughter of Eric Roberts and Kelly Cunningham and niece of Julia Roberts, has met with success since she charmed audiences as Addie Singer in the Nickelodeon series Unfabulous.

Pleasant company: Emma chatted with a male friend who accompanied her on her shopping trip.

Since the three-year series' end in 2007, Emma has scored a steady stream of film work and has three movies in post-production including Adult World, Empire States and We're the Millers opposite Jennifer Aniston.

Of course it doesn't hurt when one has Julia 'Pretty Woman' Roberts as a relative.

Next on Emma's plate is a comedy, Untitled Martini Project, about two brothers who learn the secret their parents have been hiding for years.

The Duchess and her husband were at a fund-raising dinner held by St Andrews University, the college where they met for the first time in 2001 and, subsequently, fell in love.

Just last month, Chris broke up with girlfriend Karrueche Tran, citing Rihanna as a factor, and now that he's currently single and ready to mingle, Rihanna admits she can't close the door on the possibility of the twosome getting back together.

"This is mine at this point, and when it gets to my music, I'll give and I'll give, and I just feel like I need to keep a little bit for me that I get to decide," she says. "If I had it my way, it would be really nobody's business."

It's been three years since the infamous Grammy night beating. Chris and Rihanna recently reconciled publicly and have collaborated on multiple duets for each other's albums.

Presidency rubbishes Ribadu probe report

The Presidency on Thursday rubbished the Mallam Nuhu Ribadu-led Report on Petroleum Special Task Force. It said the report was incomplete and incapable of indicting anyone.

At a press conference in Abuja, President Goodluck Jonathan’s Special Assistant to the President on Public Affairs, Dr. Doyin Okupe, based his criticism of the report on one of its paragraphs.

Okupe said the paragraph “is an obvious DISCLAIMER (emphasis his) issued by the committee on the entire report, makes it impossible under our laws to indict or punish anyone except, and until, the Federal Government fully verifies and reconciles the facts as recommended by the committee in its submission to the government.”

According to Okupe, the offending paragraph in the report says, “Due to the time frame of the assignment, some of the data used could not be independently verified and the task force recommends that the government should conduct such necessary verifications and reconciliations.”

Okupe blamed Ribadu for the politicisation of the report. He alleged that there was a major public disinformation campaign which, he said, was calculated to overheat the polity and incite Nigerians against the President because of the report.

Actress Kirstie Alley has revealed she fell in love more than 20 years ago with John Travolta as she rejected widespread Hollywood speculation that the “Grease” star is secretly gay.

Alley, former star of the 1980s TV comedy 'Cheers,' told ABC television journalist Barbara Walters that she fell for both Travolta and actor Patrick Swayze in the 1980s, although she claimed their romances never got physical.

Alley, 61, said she was attracted to Travolta while the pair were making the 1989 movie 'Look Who’s Talking,' calling him 'the greatest love of my life.'

'Believe me, it took everything I had inside, outside, whatever, to not run off and marry John and be with John for the rest of my life,' Alley told Walters in an interview broadcast on breakfast TV show “Good Morning America.”

Asked by Walters to comment on persistent rumours about Travolta’s sexuality, she said: 'I know John with all my heart and soul. He’s not gay.' Alley added: 'I think in some weird way, in Hollywood, if someone gets big enough and famous enough, and they’re not out doing drugs and they’re not womanizing, what do you say about them?'

Travolta was single at the time, but Alley was on her second marriage, so she never pursued her feelings, she explained.

Travolta later married actress Kelly Preston, his wife for the past 20 years. But the actor was the target of two lawsuits earlier this year, which were quickly dropped, from two male masseurs who claimed Travolta made unwanted sexual advances.

Alley, who talks more about her love life in her new book, “The Art of Men,” said she fell for Swayze while they were filming the 1985 Civil War TV miniseries 'North and South.'

'We did fall in love. I was more willing to break up my marriage and I wasn’t willing to break up his marriage,' Alley said, explaining why the relationship failed to go further.

Swayze, best known for his lead role in 'Dirty Dancing,' died of pancreatic cancer in 2009 at the age of 57. He was married to dancer Lisa Niemi from 1975 until his death.

Alley has been married twice. Her second marriage, to actor Parker Stevenson, ended in 1997.

Facebook lover may be charged with attempted murder

The police in Lagos say they may prosecute a 26-year-old man who allegedly pushed down his Facebook lover from a multi-storey building, following a disagreement over sex.

The Divisional Police Officer of Bar Beach, Victoria Island, Lagos, Mr. Fayoade Adegoke, told the News Agency of Nigeria on Thursday that the suspect (name withheld) might be charged with attempted murder.

The DPO, however, said that the parents of the suspect and the victim were engaged in reconciliatory talks over the matter.

NAN reports that 21-year-old Akabugu Nkiruka sustained multiple injuries, including a fractured pelvis, and is undergoing treatment at the General Hospital, Marina, Lagos, following the November 1 incident.

Nkiruka, a Linguistic student of the University of Lagos, had told NAN on her hospital bed that she went clubbing with the young man she met on Facebook (a social media) barely a week earlier, and ended up in his family home at 1004 Estate, Victoria Island, Lagos.

She noted that the suspect had earlier talked about sex on the phone prior to the outing but she told him she was menstruating.

Nkiruka said that on getting to the house, the man tore her dress and tried to rape her.

According to Nkiruka, the man thereafter pushed her down from the third floor of the building because of her refusal to have sex with him.

So it's little wonder Sir Philip Green was keen to lavish attention on even the youngest members of the Kardashian family. 

Meeting Kim, 32, and Kourtney, 33, in the lobby of London's Dorchester Hotel on Wednesday ahead of their Kardashian Kollection launch at Dorothy Perkins, the fashion mogul looked thrilled to be in the company of the famous sisters.

The 60-year-old businessman seemed to be enjoying an animated chat with Kourtney as he played with her adorable baby daughter Penelope, four months, affectionately.

And while the group all appeared to be getting along famously, it would seem the star's son Mason, four, had come over a little shy - holding on to his mummy's hand as Aunt Kim smiled at him lovingly.  The girls are in London for the launch of their Kardashian Kollection clothing launch at Dorothy Perkins, one of Green's High Steet stores that fall under the umbrella of his Arcadia company.

Doting: Sir Philip Green was lavishing attention on baby Penelope as he met Kim and Kourtney at the Dorchester Hotel.

On Friday morning, the duo will be joined by their younger sister Khloe, 28, who will jet in to London straight off the back of her X Factor presenting stint in the US.

Kim has certainly been making sure to wrap up against the winter weather during her time in the capital.  Stepping out in sexy leather boots and a black full-length coat with a fur collar, the brunette beauty looked snuggly and warm as she left the Dorchester on Thursday ahead of the Kardashian Kollection press launch. 

The star also thanked her British fans for the warm welcome she and Kourtney have received.

Business partners: The fashion mogul has collaborated with the Kardashians on their new clothing collection for Dorothy Perkins.

Greeting fans: Kourtney showed off her top knot as she left the Dorchester ahead of their big launch.

Kourtney added: 'London, we love you. I want to give a big thanks to all of you who have come out to support us, and everyone on Twitter and Facebook who have been sending such kind messages and showing your support for our Kardashian Kollection for Dorothy Perkins.'

Best of friends: Kourtney and Kim attended a photocall to promote their Kardashian Kollection alongside Sir Philip Green on Wednesday.

And although the reality stars are in the capital for less than a week, it would seem rapper Kanye West couldn't bear to have his girlfriend Kim out of his sight for that long, and was spotted arriving at the Dorchester in the early hours of Thursday morning. 

Kim, Kourtney and Khloe are set to meet their fans at an event at London's Westfield White City on Saturday afternoon.

Lovesick: Kanye West was spotted leaving the Dorchester Hotel on Thursday morning after jetting 4,000 miles from Miami to be with Kim.

Celebrating their English fashion partnership, the two famous brunettes took over Aqua club in Soho for a lavish star studded bash.

The two sisters both looked the part in their matching little black dresses from their new collection as they entered the party, which was also attended by X Factor's Ella Henderson, Rylan Clarke and James Arthur.

Kim decided to show off her legs in a sequin little number, leaving her long brown locks down and sporting a surprisingly more natural make-up look.

Meanwhile Kourtney followed the British ladies' love for tights as she covered up her legs in a pair with black dots, which matched her high-neck chiffon dress.

Nigerian comedians react to a report that jokes about a politician can adversely affect his political career, writes Maureeen Azuh...

Generally, comedy is seen as a form of relaxation even as it can be employed to address societal vices. In Nigeria and other countries, most humour merchants seek not just to impress their audience with jokes but to also make comments that would engender social change.

However, a recent report conducted by an Assistant Professor at Towson University, USA, Amy Becker, indicates that comedians’ jokes that tend to ridicule a political candidate may spark negative attitudes towards that individual.

The study focused on the 2008 presidential election where Barack Obama and John McCain were top candidates – representing Democratic Party and Republican Party respectively. In the course of it, some participants watched a video clip from The Colbert Report mocking the McCain campaign, while other participants viewed a clip of McCain mocking himself on an episode of Saturday Night Live.

While participants from both sides appreciated McCain’s self-deprecating humour, viewing the SNL clip did not result in a significant change in attitudes towards the Republican Party candidate. Viewing Colbert’s hostile humour, however, resulted in significantly more negative evaluations of McCain.

But reacting to the report, Nigerian comedian, Gbenga Adeyinka, says it may not be entirely true. According to him, what matters is the personality of the politician and not what people say about him.

“If you go on the Internet, you will find that the American President is the biggest material for comedy,” he says.”What we should be weary of is abuse; I always tell comedians not to be abusive. And to the politicians, if funny jokes are being thrown at them, maybe they need to buckle up. Obama has been the butt of jokes for years, but he is still the president of America. Comedians will not create jokes out of what you have not done.”

For comic actor, Basorge Tariah, comedians have the right to point out the shortcomings of public office holders. He says the joke merchants are not just jesters but are also social commentators.

“Like journalists, comedians have the right to comment on issues that affect people in the society, no matter the politician that is involved. It is their moral obligation to do so. But whether it is done intelligently, stupidly or as an outrageous attack to make the individual involved sit up, is another matter altogether,” he explains.

Tariah however adds that comedians, both young and old, should have some kind of check and not abuse the privilege.

This a fascinating glimpse into the life of Onyango ‘Omar’ Obama, 68, the half-uncle of President Barack Obama — and an illegal immigrant who Mitt Romney had already signalled should be deported if he won his bid for the Presidency.

A regular customer of the shop where he works in Framingham, said, “Onyango Obama certainly lives a life that is a world away from President Barack Obama. The house he lives in, with its tatty curtains, could do with some sprucing up, it’s clear he doesn’t have a lot of cash.”

Onyango, referred to in President Obama’s 1995 book Dreams From My Father as ‘Uncle Omar’ is the younger half brother of the President’s late father, Barack Obama Sr., a scholar from Kenya who was rarely in his son’s life.

My Thoughts: Why Now? In the middle of all the so called negotiation and Peace talks with the Federal Government of Nigeria? 

A top Boko Haram commander, Sani Mohammed has reportedly escaped from police custody in Abuja on Thursday.

The suspect who was arrested with another Boko Haram operative, Kabir Sokoto in January, 2012, allegedly escaped from the cell where he was kept with other terror suspects.

Though, the Force Headquarters claimed that no terror suspect escaped, security sources confirmed that Mohammed absconded from custody.

The details of his escape was however sketchy as at the time of filing this report.

A similar incident happened early this year when Sokoto, the alleged mastermind of the Christmas Day bombing of Saint Theresa Catholic Church, Madalla, Niger State, escaped from police custody at Abaji, a satellite town in the Federal Capital Territory.

Arrested at the Borno State Governor’s Lodge, Abuja, Sokoto was said to have escaped while being taken for a search of his apartment 24 hours later.

But Deputy Force Public Relations Officer, Frank Mba, said no terror suspect escaped from its custody, adding that a check of its records showed no such name as Mohammed on its list of detainees.

He said, “The police authority hereby informs the public that the information being circulated by TV Station is totally untrue and should be disregarded in its entirety.”

Robert Pattinson & Kristen Stewart Are Living Together Again — Report

Rob has finally buried the hatchet with Kristen! After a turbulent few months, the couple is moving back in together.

Kristen Stewart appeared on Live! with Kelly and Michael on Nov. 7, and told the world she and Robert Pattinson had adopted a new dog; and now, Us Weekly is reporting the lovebirds have moved back in together! Such perfect timing.

An insider tells the magazine that despite Kristen’s best efforts, Rob had been haunted by insecurity following her affair with director Rupert Sanders, and he was considering selling their love nest in Loz Feliz because there were too many reminders of their pre-scandal lives.

However, they are now holed up at Kirsten’s new L.A. home, and according to the magazine’s insider, “they basically live together again/”

They live with their beloved dog Bear, who Kristen describes as her “child,” and the newest canine addition to their family, Bernie!

Rob and Kristen have made such progress in their reconciliation; it’s only onwards and upwards from here!
