Abacha’s son faces fresh Swiss trial

 Hello Friends!

Abba Abacha, the son of Nigeria’s former dictator Sani Abacha, will face a new trial in Switzerland starting July 4 on charges of participation in a criminal organisation that raided public funds, his lawyer said Friday.

Abba’s lawyer, Christian Luescher, told Swiss news agency ATS that his client wanted to come to Geneva to attend the trial.

During a previous trial in 2010, Abba did not attend as he was unable to obtain a visa. The court convicted him in absentia, handing down a two-year suspended prison term and confiscating his assets.

But he won an appeal over procedural irregularities and the fact that he was unable to obtain a visa in time. The Swiss Federal Tribunal therefore ordered the sentence annulled and a retrial.

If he is unable to get a visa this time, the new trial would be delayed.

Abba, 43, denies all charges.

Sani Abacha took over power in Nigeria in 1993. Until his death in 1998, he siphoned off an estimated more than $2 billion from the country’s central bank, including $700 million that was deposited in Swiss banks. Nigeria later recovered that amount.

Jonathan sacks security adviser, defence minister

Nigerian President Goodluck Jonathan speaks at his last presidential campaign rally of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party in Abuja Saturday, March 26, 2011. President Goodluck Jonathan has round off his presidential campaign rally ahead of April elections.

Hello Friends!

In what appears to be an obvious response to the security challenges facing Nigeria, President Goodluck Jonathan on Friday night sacked General Andrew Owoeye Azazi, his National Security Adviser and Haliru Mohammed, the Minister of Defence.

The sack of the two security chiefs came after a national security meeting convened by the President on the deteriorating security situation in the country immediately he returned from Brazil this afternoon, amidst criticisms that his journey was ill-timed, coinciding with religious violence in Kaduna state and Damaturu in Yobe state.

Over 150 people have been killed, according to very conservative estimates.

Ironically, Owoeye and Haliru were part of the meeting, but it was not clear if they were informed that they will be sacked during the meeting.

President Jonathan has appointed Colonel Sambo Dasuki (rtd) to replace General Andrew Owoye Azazi as the new National Security Adviser (NSA).

After the meeting, Police Affairs Minister Caleb Olubolade said Jonathan “believes that we need to talk. We need to ensure that we do what is right to ensure that we calm down the nerves and these incessant bombings are minimised.”

Azazi had told State House Correspondents that the meeting reviewed the security situation in the country, saying, “the security situation is under control”.

Olubolade also said that the security Chiefs “comprehensively’’ briefed the President on the security situation.

“It was a useful discussion; certain areas where we have problems, we have to tackle them. We want to see how the security agencies will be more effective and the role the citizens have to play.

Tragic suicide: Angie Dowds was a health guru on ITV show The Biggest Loser.

Hello Friends!

My Thoughts: Suicide is an easy way out for Cowards! Strong people never give up nor deprive themselves the benefit of becoming better individuals!
A celebrity personal trainer jumped off Beachy Head after losing her job and having problems with her girlfriend, an inquest heard yesterday.
Angie Dowds, 42, sent a text in her final moments at the notorious Sussex suicide spot saying: 'My heart is broken; my spirit is broken'.

At the time of her death last November, presenter Davina McCall, who she appeared on hit ITV show The Biggest Loser with, led tributes to her.

She said: 'Rest in peace Angie Dowds. So so sad.'

The inquest heard that Miss Dowds had drinks and drugs in her system, a combination described as 'severely toxic', when she threw herself off the cliff.
Her GP said she had experienced ongoing addictions to alcohol and drugs and had taken overdoses and made a number of suicide threats in the past.

The award-winning fitness guru had contact with mental health services and had refused treatment at one point.
After her death, it was revealed that local health services had neglected to book an outpatient's appointment for her after she declined treatment.

It was put down to an 'administrative error' initially, but a 'serious untoward incident' inquiry has since begun into what happened.

Yesterday, her brother Kevin Dowds accused doctors of letting down his younger sister.

He said: 'I feel she's been failed. Letting her decide whether she continues with mental health doesn't seem appropriate to me.'

Heartache: Ms Dowds had gone through another break-up earlier the same year

He also vowed to further investigate the failure to book the appointment.

In the days and weeks prior to her death, Miss Dowds told friends and family she was worried about having lost her job.
She was also concerned about where to live as she did not intend to continue living with her girlfriend Edwina Benson, with whom she was having 'troubles'.

Miss Dowds had a meeting with a housing officer to discuss where to live and had also discussed claiming benefits.
Her girlfriend Miss Benson, an administrator at a primary school, said that she exchanged texts with her shortly before she jumped.

Miss Dowds sent a series of heartbreaking texts to her partner, including one saying: 'My heart's broken; my spirit's broken'.
She added: 'On your head be it' and 'I'll be at peace very soon.'

Miss Benson then called the police after her partner revealed she was at Beachy Head.

Miss Dowds' body was discovered hours later.
Catherine Palmer, assistant deputy coroner for East Sussex, returned a verdict of suicide.

Brave Attitude To Death: Boy With Terminal Brain Tumour Enjoys his Last Days...

David Langton-Gilks has decided he wants no more treatment after being told his brain tumour is terminal
David Langton-Gilks has decided he wants no more treatment after being told his brain tumour is terminal

Hello Friends!

A schoolboy dying from a brain tumour has stunned his family with his bravery after responding to his terminal condition by saying: 'You can’t win them all.'

David Langton-Gilks, who is just 16, said he has accepted he is 'stuffed' following a five year battle against the disease.

Up until five weeks ago David thought he had beaten the Medulloblastoma tumour but relapsed an hour after posting a video on YouTube telling the world he was recovering.

His parents, Sacha and Toby, took him to hospital where scans showed the cancer had returned and spread from his brain down his spine.
Doctors told the family the condition was now terminal and David and his parents decided not to prolong David’s pain and suffering by giving him more chemotherapy or radiation.
The teenager may have just weeks left to live and is focusing on making it to his school leavers prom on June 28.

David said: 'I’ve relapsed several times - but now I’m kind of stuffed. But hey, you can’t win them all.'
David, from Fontmell Magna, in Dorset, hasn’t been able to go to school for the past month because his short-term memory is so badly affected by the tumour. He also relies on 15 tablets a day to help with the pain.
His mother has launched an awareness campaign to highlight the importance of detecting brain tumours in children at an early stage.

David, pictured surfing in Cornwall, had been an active teenager who had loved playing the guitar. He now enjoys cooking

Although David displayed the symptoms of the disease when he was 11, they were not simultaneous and it took five-and-half weeks to get a diagnosis.
Had it been detected sooner, the tumour would have been around half the size it was and David would have stood a much better chance of survival.
The symptoms of the Medulloblastoma brain tumour include vomiting, headaches, and unusual eye movements.

David has undergone several operations since the age of 11 to remove the golf-ball sized tumour but has since suffered two relapses.

David's mother, Sacha Langton-Gilks. She said David has shown her how to cope by being so strong
David's mother, Sacha Langton-Gilks. She said David has shown her how to cope by being so strong.

He said: 'Before I was diagnosed I was feeling really weird, sicky and getting really bad headaches. I thought I was coming down with something.

'It came on so slow that it became like a normal thing.'

Mrs Langton-Gilks, a 44-year-old singing teacher, said: 'If I had realised before he still would have had the cancer but the tumour would have been half the size if I had got there first.
'His tumour was the size of a golf ball. He had two operations on it and then radiotherapy for six weeks alongside chemotherapy, followed by 48 weeks of combined chemotherapy.

'He has been so strong but we are in our fifth week now since we were told the cancer had come back in May.

'It means that next week is the sixth week which is usually the maximum time, so it will be a miracle if he can make it to his prom.
'Just last month we thought everything was alright, we had put the video on Youtube just an hour before he had a Taekwondo lesson.

'He came home saying he couldn’t see properly and couldn’t remember anything.
'When he had scans a few days later it showed the cancer had come back, in his brain and down his spine.
'We sat there and David said ‘no more treatment’, then he was very quiet, children accept it much better than grown ups.
'Instead, I felt like the child, it was horrible and very hard because what adults can’t deal with is them being so honest and accepting.

'He’s taken the bad news extremely well and has all the way through, which is typical David, when he has a terrible day he just says ‘that’s what it’s like’.
'He’s shown me how to cope, you think it would be the other way round but not at all, he is so strong.

'Day-to-day things are hard, he is deteriorating and is very upset that he can’t remember how to play his guitar, so he is spending time cooking and playing games with family.'
Children have the same risk of developing a brain tumour as meningitis, and Mrs Langton-Gilks is now campaigning to make other parents more aware.

She is hoping to get small cards made by Headsmart, a charity promoting brain tumour awareness, in every school across the country, listing symptoms to look out for.
She said: 'If I had known the symptoms I would have been able to get him to hospital about three weeks earlier.

'The risk of children getting a brain tumour is the same as getting meningitis, yet parents can’t spot brain tumours.

'That’s why I’m campaigning to get Headsmart cards with the symptoms listed on them placed in schools all over the country.'
Mrs Langton-Gilks lives with her husband, a 46-year-old music composer, and their two other children Rufus, 14, and Holly, nine.

Hello Friends!

Halle Berry has been ordered to pay $20,000 a month in child support.

Lawyers for the 'New Year's Eve' star and her former partner Gabriel Aubry went to court on Monday where a family law judge ordered the actress to hand over the sum for the care of their four-year-old daughter Nahla, gossip website TMZ reports.

Gabriel, 36, had gone to court last month to request the sum but the case was adjourned because paperwork wasn't filled out properly.

The former couple - who split in April 2010 - are yet to resolve another dispute over Nahla, as the model is unhappy with Halle's plan to move to France with the youngster and her fiance Olivier Martinez.
The 45-year-old Dark Tide star has previously spoken about relocating to France, in favour of the country's laws which will protect her offspring from prying eyes.
She said: 'Laws that protect children, protect right to privacy. All I want is for my family and myself to have a normal life. When I'm not at work, that's very important to me.'
A court has yet to rule on Halle's desire to move.

Meanwhile, RadarOnline.com are claiming that Aubry is keen for Halle and Nahla to permanently move to Malibu.
A source told the website: 'Gabriel's lawyers will discuss the idea of Halle moving to Malibu permanently at the custody trial. Gabe wants Nahla to have as normal a childhood as possible and thinks Nahla could even go to public school in Malibu.'

Last week Halle was seen collecting daughter, Nahla, from school in Los Angeles.
Her actress carried a colourful collage called 'All About Nahla', on which the four-year-old wrote about how she wants a baby sister, a bunk bed and to be a ballerina.
The watercolour collage poignantly featured a photo of Nahla's father, Gabriel, pictured with Halle and their little girl before the couple's split.

BBA 7 Stargame Second ''Kick Out'' Roki & Maneta.

Roki

Hello Friends!

My Thoughts: One would expect that these so called Hosemates/Celebrities would have learnt a lesson or two from Big Brother's first Kick Out with Zainab & DKB, but it was clear they weren't even tough enough to pull through the pressures of entertainment madness in the BBA 7 Stargame House...

This is the second time that Big Brother will be taking the decision to disqualify housemates who violate the House rules. Zainab and DKB were also disqualified from the show after DKB slapped Zainab.

“No! Biggie no!” was all Keitta could say after Biggie delivered the verdict Goldie wailed while Lady May and Prezzo started shedding tears.

Maneta

Roki tried calming his housemates as he went tout of the dairy room to start packing his belongings, Maneta on the other hand was still confined in the dairy room.

According to Big Brother, “Maneta and Roki – you have both contravened the Provocation rule – repeatedly. Roki you intentionally provoked Maneta by pouring water over her head. Maneta, you then threw cleaning fluid in Roki’s face. Maneta, you also threatened to stab Roki.

“This after you had both thrown fluids over each other earlier in the day, Big Brother asked you both to show restraint – and neither of you did. As you are both no doubt aware, you have left Big Brother with absolutely no choice. In terms of the House Rules you have both been disqualified from the game.”

Boko Haram Mastermind Arrested & Fatally Wounded..

Habib Bama

Hello Friends!

Habib Bama, a suspected Boko Haram member, who was declared wanted by the State Security Service (SSS) on 15 February for allegedly masterminding the bombing of some public institutions, has been arrested.

But according to the News Agency of Nigeria, he was ‘fatally wounded’ at the point arrest, a euphemism for being captured dead.

A competent source in the SSS told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) that Bama, an ex-soldier, was arrested on Thursday during a shoot out with the Joint Task Force (JTF) in Damaturu, the capital of Yobe.

Bama is alleged to have masterminded the bombing of the Mogadishu Barracks Mammy market, Police Force Headquarters and UN building, all in Abuja, and some churches in Madalla in Niger. The bombings took place on Dec. 31, 2010, June 16, 2011 and Aug. 26, 2011, respectively.

NAN gathered that the suspect was “fatally wounded’’ during the shoot out.

The SSS had in a statement on Feb. 15, 2012, declared Habibu Bama, wanted in connection with “crime against the state’’.“He is hereby declared wanted by the Federal Government in connection with crimes against the state.“Members of the public with any information that could lead to his arrest are here implored to immediately contact the nearest police station, military formations or other security agencies,’’ it said. The statement said that Bama, a Kanuri from Borno State, is also known as “Shuaibu Bama” and “Habib Mamman”.

I was fondled by creepy masseurs: Amanda Platell Tells Her Troubling Story...

Amanda Platell: 'The massages became more intimate, verging on sexual assault'
Amanda Platell: 'The massages became more intimate, verging on sexual assault'.

Hello Friends!

When an attractive Eastern European masseur was first charged with sexually assaulting his clients in London, a shiver went down my spine. Even now I feel uncomfortable admitting it, but I, too, have had my own unsettling experiences with a gorgeous foreign masseur.

When handsome Daniel Pytlarz, 35, was unanimously cleared of all charges by a jury of six men and six women last week, his beautiful blonde wife Urszula, also his assistant, was there to celebrate the verdict.

She had never doubted him, nor had numerous other female clients who had come forward to testify against the evidence of the 18 women who brought the original charges.

Reading the details of the court case, I was struck by the fact that all the women claiming to have been assaulted were middle-class professionals — just as I had been when I engaged the services of my own Mr Masseur, as I shall call him here.

While I am not for a moment casting any doubt on the innocence of Mr Pytlarz, the story had discomfiting echoes for me.
When I was in my early thirties, I was stressed out from working ten hours a day, six days a week as the deputy editor of a national newspaper and struggling with the emotional aftermath of a divorce.

Mr Masseur was my salvation. Once a week he would arrive at my home, a Polish Adonis, with his massage bed, his well-toned muscles, his charm and his magic hands. A little too magic, as I was to discover.

He was recommended by an acquaintance who said he was the best masseur she had ever had. And indeed he was — at first.
I sought no references and none were offered. The truth is, I knew nothing about the man who would come into my home at night and massage my cares away. The first time he visited, I insisted my then-fiance Christopher was there. After all, what kind of woman invites a strange man into her home, strips to their undies and allows them to massage their body?

But within minutes Mr Masseur had put me at my ease. And he was utterly brilliant at his job. He kneaded and pummelled my troubles away. An hour with him transformed me from a stressed-out executive into a super-relaxed superwoman who felt she could take on the world.

The sense of well-being he bestowed on me was worth far more than the £45 he charged, which back in the early nineties was a fortune.
For the first five or six sessions, I couldn’t speak highly enough of him. But then, during a treatment I felt a distinct pang of unease. I didn’t have any stress in my inner thighs, so why on earth was he spending so much time there?

But then, as is typical of so many of my sex, I dismissed my fears as silliness on my part. This man was a professional after all.

Even when the upper chest massage started to creep a little too close to my breasts, I still said or did nothing — but my embarrassment was acute.

Then, one night, the inner thigh massage got way too close for comfort. Instead of relieving my stress, it made me feel very distressed indeed.
And yet still I said nothing at the time, just like the women who complained against Mr Pytlarz.
One said the massages began by making her feel ‘relaxed, rejuvenated, full of life and raring to go’.

But she alleged that they soon began to take on a ‘sinister undertone’. Another said she was ‘petrified’ and couldn’t wait to get out of his premises quickly enough.
We know that Mr Pytlarz was completely innocent — but that’s not to say all masseurs are.
Some rely on the fact that women, even if they are inappropriately touched, are so embarrassed, they are unlikely to say or do anything about it.

Branding of mastectomy scars as pornographic? How can Facebook do this?

Brave: Joanne Jackson, left, and Cheryl Kerr, right
Brave: Joanne Jackson, left, and Cheryl Kerr, right.

Hello Friends!

My Thoughts: Coming out in the glaring light of the world, after a painful battle with Cancer is way beyond Bravery!

Every year in the UK, more than 20,000 women undergo a mastectomy for breast cancer. Yet when one sufferer, Joanne Jackson, posted pictures of her scar on Facebook last month, the social networking site removed them after a complaint that they were offensive.  Here, Joanne and four fellow survivors pose topless and reveal why they’re proud of their scars . . . not ashamed!

Joanne Jackson, 40, is a consultant for Slimming World. She is married to Andrew, 43, a self-employed cobbler and shoe retailer, has two sons, Connah, 19, and Evan, five. Joanne says:

Last spring, I found a pea-sized lump in my breast, so I went to my GP to get it checked out. It was a year ago this month that I went back for the test results with my mother. When the lady introduced herself as a breast care nurse, I sensed the news wasn’t going to be good.

I remember hearing my mum make a heaving sound as if she was about to start crying, but I felt strong. I said: ‘Don’t start crying!’ I knew immediately that I wasn’t going to be beaten.
The doctor said she would need to do another biopsy to determine whether I’d need a mastectomy — removal of the whole breast — or a lumpectomy (removal of the cancerous tissue).

I got home and announced my breast cancer on Facebook immediately, so I wouldn’t have to tell people individually. I also decided that whatever results came back from my biopsy, I was going to have a mastectomy.
The younger you are, the more aggressive cancer can be, and I wanted the breast removed to maximise the chances of getting rid of the cancer so I’d be around to see my children grow up.
Andrew was amazing and was behind me all the way. After the operation, I was bruised and tender, with a seven-inch line where my breast had been. It may sound surprising, but I wasn’t upset.
It felt surreal to see one side of my chest look round and feminine and the other look flat, like a boy’s.

Hello Friends!

Prince William is set to inherit an estimated £10million from this mother's estate today as he celebrates his 30th birthday.
The milestone means he now has the option of taking control of half of a trust fund believed to be worth more than £20million.

Princess Diana bequeathed the trust to the Duke of Cambridge and his brother, Prince Harry, who were 15 and 12 at the time of her death in 1997.

Bequeathed estate: Prince William embarks on his first official engagement with his mother in Cardiff in 1991. The current value of Diana's trust fund for her sons is estimated at £20million.

Harry will inherit his share on his 30th birthday on September 15, 2014. Diana left a net estate of £12,966,022 after inheritance tax of £8,502,330 was deducted.
It is widely believed that with shrewd investment the fund has grown to around £20m.

Her estate comprised stocks and shares, jewellery, cash from her £17million divorce settlement, dresses and other personal belongings at her Kensington Palace apartment.
Diana stipulated that it would be held in trust to be shared equally between her two sons, even though William will inherit income from the Duchy of Cornwall estate when he becomes Prince of Wales.
In her original will, drawn up in 1993, the princess had stipulated that both princes would be entitled to their entire share of the capital on reaching 25.

But details of the will were changed by a variation order granted by the High Court on Dec 19 1997 - three months after her premature death in a Paris car crash.

In a highly unusual move, the executors made both her original will and the new one public.
The key changes, which were designed to protect the then young princes, included a clause that raised the age at which they could ask for the capital in full to 30.
St James's Palace has declined to comment on the bequest, but said William will celebrate his birthday in a 'low-key' and 'private' fashion.
William has been busy this week on a course connected with his work as an RAF Search and Rescue Force pilot.

Milestone: Prince William and his wife the Duchess of Cambridge celebrate his grandmother's Diamond Jubilee earlier this month a few weeks before he turns 30 today.

But he will take time out to mark the milestone, although it appears he is not planning a big event.
A St James’s Palace spokesman would not give any details about how the Duke will celebrate his birthday only saying 'He’ll be spending it in a low-key, private fashion.'

His wife Kate, who turned 30 in January, is almost certainly to be behind any events that are planned, and also has the tricky job of finding a present for her husband.
It is likely that a few close friends will be invited to the occasion which could be a quiet meal at their home in North Wales.

To celebrate, budget supermarket Aldi has recreated Prince William's favourite cocktail at a fraction of the usual £135 price.
The store is sending a selection of ingredients to Kensington Palace which will enable William to serve the 'Aldiki' for a mere £3.23 per person.

It is a version of the famous Mahiki Treasure Chest which is enjoyed by royals, actors and musicians alike at trendy London bar, Mahiki, and includes an exotic mix of rum, brandy, peach schnapps and fruit juice.

U.S to tag three Boko Haram leaders as foreign terrorists

Shekau

Hello Friends!

The United States is expected to tag three Boko Haram leaders as ‘Specially Designated Global Terrorists’ on Thursday (today).

The action by the State and Treasury departments follows growing pressure on President Barrack Obama’s administration to take stronger action against Boko Haram, Reuters reports.
SDGT is a designation authorised under U.S Executive Order 13224 (1), among other executive orders, and Title 31, Parts 595, 596, and 597 of the U.S. Code of Federal Regulations, among other U.S laws and regulations.

SDGT designations are administered and enforced by the Office of Foreign Assets Control of the U.S Treasury Department.

SDGTs are entities and individuals who OFAC finds have committed or pose a significant risk of committing acts of terrorism, or who OFAC finds provide support, services, or assistance to, or otherwise associate with, terrorists and terrorist organisations designated under OFAC Counter Terrorism Sanctions programs, as well as such persons’ subsidiaries, front organisations, agents, or associates. They are designated under OFAC’s Counter Terrorism Sanction programs.

Boko Haram, which says it wants to establish an Islamic caliphate in Northern Nigeria, has stepped up attacks on churches this year.
Thursday’s anticipated action, officials said, involves applying the “terrorist” designation to three men presumed to be central figures in the group.

The three individuals, an official said, are Abubakar Shekau, aged around 43, described as a Boko Haram leader who allegedly aligned himself with al Qaeda in a video message; Abubakar Adam Kambar, aged roughly 35; and Khalid al Barnawi, aged approximately 36.
All three are native Nigerians.

The expected action will freeze any assets they have in the United States, and bar U.S persons from any transactions with them.
It is among the first such action the U.S government has taken against Boko Haram, but falls short of demands from some U.S lawmakers and the Justice Department to designate the entire group as a “foreign terrorist organisation.”

The State Department has been under pressure to act against Boko Haram for months. In January, Lisa Monaco, the Justice Department’s top national security official, sent a letter to the State Department arguing that the Nigerian group met the criteria for a “foreign terrorist” listing because it either engages in terrorism that threatens the United States or has a capability or intent to do so.

Boko Haram increasingly is seen as a potent threat to Nigeria, the continent’s most populous state and major oil producer, and as part of growing arc of Islamist extremist groups stretching across northern Africa.

More recently, a group of Republican senators led by Scott Brown of Massachusetts introduced legislation requiring the State Department to determine whether Boko Haram should be designated as a terrorist group.

Republican Representative Patrick Meehan, who chairs a Homeland Security subcommittee in the House, also introduced an amendment that would force the administration to add Boko Haram to the terrorism list or explain why it was not doing so.

However, U.S diplomats are weighing these demands against counter arguments, including those made by a group of academic experts on Africa who sent a letter to Secretary of State Hillary Clinton last month urging her not to designate Boko Haram as a terrorist group.

The academics argued that the move could backfire by enhancing the group’s reputation among potential recruits and other militant groups.
A U.S designation might also empower more radical elements of Boko Haram, which is divided into factions, the professors said.

In her letter to the State Department, Monaco of the Justice Department reported that since 2009 Boko Haram has conducted violent attacks against Nigeria’s “police, politicians, public institutions and civilian population.”
Monaco said that according to press reports, Boko Haram claimed responsibility for 510 victims in 2011, and also took credit for a January 20 attack on government buildings in Kano in which more than 160 were killed.

She said that although Boko Haram attacks until now have occurred only within Nigeria, Washington should not underestimate the threat the group poses to U.S interests.

'Lamar wants to return to Los Angeles and the Clippers want him. They just need to work out finances and contractual issues.'

Wild claims: Kris Humphries, pictured in Los Angeles last week, has apparently alleged Kris Jenner was behind Kim Kardashian's sex tape

Hello Friends!

This week, Kim Kardashian acknowledged her sex tape was the reason she leaped to fame.
Speaking to Oprah Winfrey, she admitted the release of the x-rated film with ex-boyfriend Ray J 'humiliated' the family.

However, in an extraordinary development, her estranged husband Kris Humphries is said to have claimed her mother Kris Jenner conceived the idea of a tape in the first place.

Humphries's ex-girlfriend Myla Sinanaj claims he told her many details about the reality TV star during their short relationship earlier this year.
According to TMZ, Humphries told Myla that Jenner not only told Kim to make a sex tape, but also to re-film the original because it wasn't 'pretty enough'.

The tape Kim Kardashian: Superstar was leaked online in February 2007 - four years after it was made.
Kim initially sued Vivid Entertainment for ownership of the tape, but later settled for a reported $5million.

Eight months later after the tape's release, Kim and her family were given the opportunity to star in their own reality TV show Keeping Up With The Kardashians.
However, a source from the Kardashian camp told TMZ that Kim never discussed the tape with Humphries during their short relationship because she didn't want to be judged by it.

Short-lived: Kim and Kris were married for only 72 days

Myla is threatening to release details of her relationship with Brooklyn Nets player Humphries after becoming infuriated with him following their break-up.

The hotel worker has apparently become infuriated having tried to contact Kris 17 times on the phone, to no avail.
Sources told TMZ that Myla has numerous text messages from Kris in which he declares she's the 'love of his life' and he can't wait to be divorced from Kim.

Kim has subpoenaed Myla in her divorce case against Humphries because she believes their relationship contradicts his self-depiction as a heartbroken husband.

While the reality star wants to divorce Humphries as soon as possible, he wants the marriage to be annulled.
In court papers, he claims he was left devastated by Kim's sudden decision to end their marriage after just 72 days.

Myla's lawer Joe Tacopina told RadarOnline.com: 'My client isn't going to rule anything out at this point including whether or not she would be willing to assist Kim Kardashian in her divorce case.'
Myla's team also hit out at claims she was never his partner.

Her legal representative said: 'I have hundreds of text messages and phone records which show he constantly contacted her on a steady basis. He'd call her 50 times in a day.'

Speaking to Oprah, Kim denied claims the wedding was a publicity stunt to boost ratings, but conceded she didn't get to know him properly before they tied the knot.
She said: 'I think when people first meet, everything is great in the beginning, but I didn't spend more than a whole week with my ex before we married.

'When we moved in together, I saw how our relationship was... I don't want to get into the small things, but once we moved in, I knew he was not the one.
'He's a good person. I will always have a place in my heart for him. It just wasn't for me.
'For anyone I hurt, I'm truly sorry, I don't wish pain on anyone, but the person I am because of that crazy experience, I wouldn't change it for the world.

'I loved him, obviously it hurt him, and it hurt me too. It was embarrassing, I don't want to call it a mistake, it was a lesson.'

We’re doing God’s work –Dying suicide bomber

Hello Friends!

A suicide bomber who was blown off with an explosive device he was carrying on Tuesday said on his deathbed that the group was doing “God’s work” and would not stop.

The suspected suicide bomber however died in the hospital on Wednesday, police in Bauchi said.

The police said the suspected suicide bomber died at the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa Teaching Hospital, Bauchi, where he was receiving treatment after the bomb he was carrying exploded.

They said the suspect was taken to the hospital by the Police, following injuries he sustained from the blast.

A statement by the Police Public Relations Officer in the state, Mr Idris Abubakar, said the suicide bomber died in the hospital, where he was receiving treatment.

He said, “On June 19, at about 5.05pm, an anonymous caller informed the Divisional Police Officer, Township, Bauchi, that there was an explosion opposite ANPP Secretariat along Gombe road, Bauchi.

“The police went to the scene and on arrival, a young man was found at the scene seriously injured.
“Upon search by the police bomb experts, it was discovered that the unidentified man was hit by an improvised explosive device he was carrying.

“We recovered one revolver pistol and five rounds of life ammunition on him.’’
The statement added, “The bomber was rushed to the ATBUTH but died in the course of treatment.

“Before his death, the suicide bomber confirmed that he was member of Boko Haram Islamic sect.’’
On Tuesday, the suicide bomber had travelled by public transport for more than 393 km with the device from Yola, Adamawa State.
He was said to have concealed the bomb in his backpack.

The bomber was unfortunate when he carelessly dropped the bag on the floor to urinate in a corner.
The device subsequently detonated, dismembering his lower limb and fingers.

Shortly after the incident, while conscious and in pains, the bomber told onlookers – including police officers who had come to arrest him – that he was part of a larger cell of the terrorist Boko Haram sect who are infiltrating the city to carry out an assignment in “God’s name.”
He said his colleagues were on their way to the city from other towns.

When thoroughly searched, a gun was found on him, which the police reportedly took away.

Residents Flee Kaduna

Hello Friends!

Following yesterday’s attack on Christians by Muslims in Kaduna, residents have started fleeing the state for the fear of being victims of further reprisal attacks.

Yesterday, some of the residents were seen being escorted out of the state by military personnel deployed to quell further bloodshed. They were escorted in their patrol vehicles.

The state boiled again yesterday as Hausa/Fulani youths launched a reprisal attack on the Christian community, leaving many dead and severely injured. The violence followed Sunday’s bombing of three churches in the state.

Though the state government has imposed a 24-hour curfew, residents do not feel safe. Streets were deserted today as the curfew came into force. Some residents who could not flee the state for certain reasons took refuge in a compound in Kigo Road New Extension in Kaduna yesterday.

Some of the fleeing residents who managed to speak with our reporter claimed that the decision is inevitable, considering the fact that yesterday’s attack was launched shortly after the state government relaxed the curfew it earlier imposed. One of them who craved anonymity said “How do you expect us to stay when it is very obvious that our lives and properties are not safe? After the 24-hour curfew now, who knows what is going to happen next? So the best thing is to run for our dear lives.”

During the reprisal attack yesterday, the Hausa/Fulani youths invaded the Kaduna Central Market, shooting sporadically and attacking Christians with machetes and other dangerous weapons.

The crisis erupted when the Hausa/Fulani youths realised that they suffered more casualties during Sunday’s reprisal attack.

Meanwhile, the Kaduna Police Command has arrested some illegal aliens from Chad, Cameroon and Niger along with Nigerians in the wake of the fresh riot that broke out in the state yesterday.
The Commissioner of police, Mohammed Jinjiri Abubakar, who disclosed this while addressing newsmen at the police headquarters, said the police will not relent in their effort to expose the hoodlums behind the violence in the state.

Abubakar expressed displeasure over the manner foreigners were conniving with some criminals to unleash terror on innocent Nigerians.

'He didn't write his own memoir!' Jay-Z is sued by writer claiming he stole his work and used it in best-seller

Brought to book: A writer has launched a lawsuit claiming Jay-Z stole material from him and used it in his memoir
Brought to book: A writer has launched a lawsuit claiming Jay-Z stole material from him and used it in his memoir.

Hello Friends!

It is a bizarre lawsuit even by showbiz standards.
For it has emerged rapper Jay-Z is being sued by a writer who claims his work was illegally used in the star's memoir.

In a case filed in Los Angeles on June 13, Patrick White accuses the 42-year-old music mogul of lifting portions of his writing and using them as his own in the best-selling Decoded.'

According to Allhiphop.com, in the handwritten suit he says: 'In 2009, my personal computer was compromised, resulting in my personal work to be used in Jay-Z’s book 'Decoded' which was released in 2010.

'The book contains various expressions/colors/phrases which correlates to my work.
'After contacting or attempting to contact the co-author, I got no reply.'
White is also including author Dream Hampton and Random House publishing in the lawsuit seeking unspecified damages.

Jay-Z’s 2010 bestseller is a collection of lyrics and the story behind their meanings.
The Amazon entry for the immodest star, who refers to himself as Hova, a contraction of Jehova, is certainly not without hype.

It says: 'Decoded is a book like no other: a collection of lyrics and their meanings that together tell the story of a culture, an art form, a moment in history, and one of the most provocative and successful artists of our time.'

White is seeking damages for copyright infringement and invasion of property.
The MailOnline contacted Jay-Z's representatives, but has yet to receive a response.

Obama’s Dangerous Health Care Plan...Electronic Chips

Hello Friends!

President, Barack Obama has promised a massive change to a “modernize health care by making all health records standardized and electronic. As Part of his ambitious health care program will be the computerizing of medical records of all Americans in order to make the health care process more cost-effective.

But even proponents of Obama’s plan have mentioned that ensuring the privacy of patients’ records in a nationalized computer network will be tricky. There are obvious concerns about hackers and system failures. And new online health record systems, such as Google Health are not currently subject to the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act, the national health privacy law.

This is especially true when you consider the advocates of implementing a program using so-called E-Chips containing all a person’s medical information. No one has said how much information will be contained in those implants. DNA? AIDS information?

With so much information already being compromised within government security systems, how can Obama possibly promise confidentiality of such records?

Although in five years the VeriChip Corp., the US company creating microchip implants, has yet to turn a profit, it has been investing heavily — up to $8 million a year — to create new markets.

The company’s executives have said their present push is the tagging of “high-risk” patients as diabetics and people with heart conditions or Alzheimer’s disease.

In a medical emergency, hospital staff could wave a reader over a patient’s arm, get an ID number, and then, via the Internet, enter a company database and pull up the person’s identity and medical history.

To doctors, a “starter kit” — complete with 10 hypodermic syringes, 10 VeriChips and a reader — costs $1,400, according to information on the Verichip web site. To patients, a microchip implant means a $200, out-of-pocket expense to their physician. Presently, chip implants aren’t covered by private healthcare insurance companies, or by Medicare and Medicaid.

For almost two years, the company has been offering hospitals free scanners, but acceptance has been limited. According to the company’s most recent SEC quarterly filing, 515 hospitals have pledged to take part in the VeriMed network, yet only 100 have actually been equipped and trained to use the system.

Some patients and their families are wondering why they should abandon noninvasive tags such as MedicAlert, a low-tech bracelet, that warns paramedics if patients have serious allergies or a chronic medical condition, for the microchip implants.
