Prophet Samson Ayorinde

Hello Friends!

News reaching us at this time, states that  popular Lagos pastor, Prophet Samson Ayorinde of World Evangelical Bible Church, Ogudu area of Lagos has just had an ugly experience with fraudsters popularly called 419ners in Nigeria.
It has been gathered that this prophet of God had an unfinished business proposal that has to do with security gadgets such as CCTV and  Bomb Detectors for his church.
Surprisingly, in no little time, he made an initial payment of $28,000, which was carted away by the fraudsters.

Pastor Ayorinde had to report the case to the Ogudu Police Station Lagos, when it became obvious that he would not get the value of his $28,000 in the form of CCTV and Bomb Detectors.
One of the fraudsters has been arrested after been apprehended in his hotel room at Berger area of Ojodu, Lagos.

As at the time of this post, no one is sure of when exactly Prophet Samson Ayorinde would have his money back!

'Sober' Tonto Dikeh Begs Rita Dominic,

Hello Friends!

Few hours ago, an online portal published a story with the headline 'Tonto Dikeh Calls Rita Dominic "Old Desperate Cargo" On Twitter'. This was wrongfully fed upon by some who saw the headline and thought Tonto is having a bitter fight with Rita Dominic as against a tweet believed to be directed at Ini Edo.

Apparently not wanting a situation she would not be able to handle, Tonto quickly tweeted at Rita Dominic clearing the air at once.

She tweeted, "Ma, I'm terribly sorry for the rumours going on. I pray you understand the love and respect I have for you. I'll never disrespect you; dead or alive."

This apology by Tonto to Rita has taken many by surprise because of the believed 'eccentric' nature of Tonto Dikeh. Some have insinuated that Tonto quickly apologized to Rita because Rita is also a no-nonsense person.

Good for you Tonto!

‘I’M NOT GAY’ BANKY W SAYS

Banky W

Hello Friends!

Nigerian R&B singer, Banky W has reacted to rumours about his sexuality.

The singer mentioned this during an interview he granted to Y! Magazine, saying ‘It’s hilarious to me and completely false. I’m not. Maybe it’s because I’m not married, and I practice safe sex and thus have no children yet.’

Speaking on his political ambitions, the EME label boss confessed his desire to constantly throw his weight behind candidates he believes in, since he can’t run for office himself ‘…our constitution states that you have to have been born in Nigeria to qualify. I wasn't, so I don’t qualify anyway. I figure my time will be better spent throwing as much support behind candidates that I feel should be the ones leading the country’, he said.

Banky W and his label mates recently released an all-star album titled ‘Empire Mates State of Mind’ and are currently on a U.S tour that will end on Sunday, September 2, 2012.

‘I Almost Became Clifford Orji’s Victim’

Hello Friends!

Alhaja Monsurat Olumuyiwa, the mother of acclaimed talking drummer, Aralola, almost fell victim to convicted man-eater, Clifford Orji, because of Ara.

Some days before the lid was blown off Clifford’s activities, Olumuyiwa had typically gone in search of Ara who had made the studio around their neighbourhood her second home.

While narrating her story of sacrifices and suffering and narrow escape from Clifford Orji on this week’s edition of the Supermom Celebrity show, she says, “All her brothers are graduates; she was the only one who said she was dropping out of school to concentrate on music. I and her father could not reconcile with that because she could have acquired whatever degree she wanted but Ara chose music.”

On one of those days, Ara did not return home and there was no GSM in the country then. Out of sheer maternal instinct, Olumuyiwa hopped into the car with one of Ara’s brothers behind the wheel. She was desperate to find her only daughter. She was less concerned, though not oblivious of the danger that lurked in the eerie darkness of Oshodi in the mid 90s. Her child meant so much to her. As they inched towards Charity bus stop where Orji operated, two flashlights emerged, flagging down Olumuyiwa’s car. The time was around 1 a.m. The hosts of heaven had retired for the night and the hounds of hell had taken over. But fate had decreed that the hapless mother would not be one of Orji’s victims.

As the car slowed to a roll, two men on either side of the road ran towards it. Instinctively, Olumuyiwa knew these were not policemen and just as the assailants made to open the car, she screamed and her son stepped off the brakes and they sped off.

Still, she went in search of Ara that night. Thankfully, today, Ara, with her mermaid-like hair is the most decorated and recognised talking drummer in Africa. She has toured the world extensively, performed for the Queen of England and President Bill Clinton at different banquets. She has performed alongside global music icons like Stevie Wonder and Wyclef Jean. She is a holder of the Freedom Key to Miami-Dade County, USA.

14 killed at Batman movie premiere

Hello Friends!

At least 14 people were killed and some 50 wounded Friday when a gunman opened fire at a crowded cinema premiere of the latest Batman movie in the US state of Colorado, police and media said.
Witnesses interviewed by local media described a scene of chaos at the midnight showing of “The Dark Knight Rises,” saying the gunman had set off tear gas bombs and opened fire in the packed theater in Aurora, a suburb of Denver.

Aurora police chief Dan Oates said 10 people were killed at the scene and another four died later at local hospitals.
He said police had arrested the alleged gunman and that there was “no evidence” of a second, after earlier reports of two gunmen.

Oates said the suspect had claimed to have explosives at his residence and that the apartment complex where he lived had been evacuated and was being searched.
Police spokesman Frank Fania told CNN the suspect was in his 20s, wearing body armor and armed with a rifle and two handguns, adding that he had set off some kind of smoke device in order to sow panic.

Aurora is near the scene of the 1999 Columbine high school massacre, in which 13 people were shot dead and another 24 were wounded.

'He was a drug dealer, not an addict': Authorities said to believe the late Sage Stallone was selling Vicodin........

Life cut short: Sage died in his Hollywood home from a suspected drug overdose
Life cut short: Sage died in his Hollywood home from a suspected drug overdose.

Hello Friends!

Law enforcement sources have revealed that authorities investigating the death of Sage Stallone believe he was a drug dealer.
Insiders have apparently told TMZ that it is thought that a 'likely scenario' is Sage was dealing Hydrocodone- more commonly known as Vicodin- but not an addict himself.
A key factor in this theory is said to be the late actor's weight.

At 188lbs and 5'7", Sage didn't have the thin frame which is usually a trait of addicts.
TMZ was reportedly told: 'He was pudgy, and drug addicts are almost always rail thin.'

Didn't take his own life? Sage Stallone's best friend Stephen Wozniak has claimed that the late actor and director would never have committed suicide
New evidence: Law enforcement sources have revealed that authorities investigating the death of Sage Stallone believe he was a drug dealer.

The website's source claims that no Hydrocodone tablets were found in Sages house, but that there were over 60 gigantic empty prescription bottles.
Each of these would have held 500 pills, meaning that Sage would have had over 30,000.
LAPD detectives and L.A. County Coroner investigators will apparently use batch numbers and serial numbers to track down the bottles, but it is thought highly probably that they were shipped from abroad.

The bags of white powder found in the room where Sage died have not yet been tested, but it is said to be likely that they contained Hydrocodone.
Sage will reportedly be laid to rest in a private service at the weekend.
A source told RadarOnline.com: 'Sage will be buried on Saturday. His body was picked up from the coroner by a mortuary that is based in Westwood earlier this week. The funeral will be private and it will be family and friends only and will be celebration of his life.'

Meanwhile a close friend of Sylvester Stallone's late son has come forward to say that the 36-year-old did not take his own life.
Stephen Wozniak claims that Sage Stallone had no intention of committing suicide, and had been making plans for the future with him shortly before his demise.
Wozniak told TMZ: 'It was absolutely not suicide.'

He added: ' I'm certain that this really horrible thing that happened was an accident. It could have been anything - but nothing like suicide. I knew him pretty well.'
'I spoke to him a few weeks ago. We talked about resurrecting a film we worked on, other projects, talked about his girlfriend and time they'd spent together. We talked about my wedding and he seemed to be thinking about it.'

Searching for the truth: A grief-stricken Sylvester Stallone is claimed to have hired a private investigator to look into what happened to son Sage
Searching for the truth: A grief-stricken Sylvester Stallone is claimed to have hired a private investigator to look into what happened to son Sage.

While Wozniak does believe that Sage suffered from depression, he is adamant that the actor and director did not react to the problem with substance abuse.

'He would have withdrawal and get depressed,' he told E! News.
'He would try to overcompensate. He would try to clown around and I know that those are things people do, medicate or wake up. He was no different. Very few people were telling him, 'Don't do that.' I did. He was very resistant when you would tell him that. It was a sore point with him.'

Wozniak's claims are at odds with those of Sage's mother, Sylvester's first wife Sasha Czack, who has blamed the painkillers her son was using after recent dental surgery for his death.
Probe: The actor has hired Scott Ross, who has previously worked on the Chris Brown and Rihanna case, and Michael Jackson molestation caseProbe: The actor has hired Scott Ross, who has previously worked on the Chris Brown and Rihanna case, and Michael Jackson molestation case
Bags of white powder were found in the room where Sage Stallone died, it has been claimed.

Law enforcement sources allegedly told TMZ that detectives at the scene discovered 'several little baggies'. Tests are being conducted to see if it could be cocaine or crushed Vicodin, the website reports.
There were no obvious signs of the white powder of Sage's body, when he was found dead in his Los Angeles apartment last Friday.

It was earlier reported how huge empty prescription bottles were found in Sage's bedroom. It is now being claimed that '60 gigantic bottles, like the ones in pharmacies,' were unearthed, TMZ reports.

Part of the investigation is finding out how Sage got hold of such a large quantity of prescription medication - which included Hydrocodone, generic Vicodin - a prescription medication used to treat moderate to severe pain, but which is also used as a recreational drug.

The news comes as Sage's father Sylvester Stallone hired a private investigator to discover exactly what happened to his late son.
According to TMZ, the actor, 66, has met with top P.I. Scott Ross in an effort to understand what led to the tragic death of Sage Stallone last week.
The website reports that Ross was called to Stallone's home to discuss the investigation with the actor, his brother Frank and an L.A. County Coroner representative.

Ross was behind the probes into the Chris Brown/Rihanna battery case and Michael Jackson molestation case.
While it is widely believed that Sage, who was 36, overdosed on painkillers following dental surgery, Stallone wants to know if he was using drugs or drinking alcohol in the lead up to his death, it is claimed.

According to TMZ, Ross has a history of working with Stallone and is a trusted friend.
Sage was found dead in his home last Friday night, with bottles of pills scattered all over his room, the L.A. County Coroner reported.

Toxicology results are expected within four to six weeks.
Yesterday, Sage's mother Sasha Czak revealed her belief that he had accidentally overdosed on pain medication following extensive dental work.
In her first public comments on her son Sage's death, Czak said she had begged him not to have so much dental work carried out in one day.

She said her son had five teeth extracted two weeks before he was found dead at his Hollywood home last Friday.
Czak, Stallone's first wife, said she had warned her son about having so much dental work carried out in one sitting.

A mother's agony: Sage Stallone's mother Sasha Czak, seen here with him in February 1991, says her son may have overdosed on painkillers after undergoing extensive dental surgery
A mother's agony: Sage's mother Sasha Czak, seen here with him in February 1991, said yesterday that her son may have overdosed on painkillers after undergoing extensive dental surgery.

'I told him not to do that. I've heard about people dying having multiple procedures done to you mouth. Do not have more than one tooth (pulled),' she told the New York Post.
When asked if her son would be taking pain medication, she added: 'Wouldn't you be.'
Hollywood star Stallone who is said to be grief stricken by Sage’s death released an emotional statement talking about his 'agonizing' loss.

He said: 'When a parent loses a child there is no greater pain... This agonizing loss will be felt for the rest of our lives.
'Sage was our first child and the centre of our universe and I am humbly begging for all to have my son's memory in full left in peace.'

Father and son: Sage starred alongside Sly in the 1990 film Rocky V

Los Angeles coroner Ed Winter has denied reports that Sage was living in squalor when his body was found. One report said he was surrounded by rubbish and cigarette butts and had become a recluse.
'Sage Stallone wasn't living in squalor. His home wasn't ordinarily messy. It seemed to be a typical male messiness. Mr. Stallone did have a housekeeper,' Winter told website Radaronline.
Although foul play is not suspected Los Angeles detectives are helping out in the investigation.

Sage’s lawyer has said he was planning to get married and was not depressed.

Lawyer, others punished for noisemaking in court

Hello Friends!

A mild drama occurred in an Osogbo Magistrate’s Court on Thursday when Magistrate Adewunmi Makanjuola, ordered a lawyer and two others to jump up and down on the court premises.Makanjuola had sent his orderly to warn those making a noise outside the court to stop while a case was ongoing.

But shortly after the orderly returned to the court, the noise began again.
Makanjuola, who was furious, ordered that those involved be brought before him.
When they were brought before him, the magistrate asked them to choose between being put in the dock and leaping like frogs on the premises for five minutes.

Makanjuola said their action had put the court in contempt, stressing that it (court) must be accorded respect at all times. The lawyer and the two others, whose names were not recorded by the court, chose to leap.

Consequently, the magistrate told his orderly to take them outside the courtroom for the five-minute punishment. When the punishment was ongoing, court workers and litigants watched the men in amusement. The trio later appeared before the magistrate to inform him that they had completed the punishment.

Makanjuola warned them against a recurrence, stressing that they did not have the authority to disrespect the court.“Even if the court is not sitting, you should have respect for it and the state, much less of when the court is in progress,” the magistrate said.

But he later apologized for treating the lawyer “like a novice.”

PDP is Nigeria’s problem, opposition parties tell Jonathan

Hello Friends!

Three leading opposition parties on Thursday faulted President Goodluck Jonathan’s claim that democracy would have collapsed in the country without the ruling People’s Democratic Party.
The All Nigeria Peoples Party, the Action Congress of Nigeria and the Congress for Progressive Change said contrary to Jonathan’s claim, the PDP was the problem of democracy in the country.

The President, had at the PDP 60th National Executive Council meeting in Abuja on Tuesday said, “People, who want to drown us know that without the PDP, probably, the Republic would have collapsed.”Responding to the claim, the ANPP said the President was not saying the truth.

Rather, it said the PDP had destroyed democracy in the country.
Speaking in a telephone interview with one of our correspondents, the National Publicity Secretary of the party, Chief Emma Eneukwu, said it was Nigerians who had been keeping vigil not to enable the PDP to destroy the nation’s democracy.
He said the PDP-led Federal Government had hijacked the Independent National Electoral Commission and therefore could boast that without the ruling party, democracy would become a thing of the past in the country.

He said, “The President was saying the opposite. He was not sincere with his comments.
“He knows that his political party is the problem of Nigeria and also aware that Nigerians now reject it and its candidates during elections.”
The ACN National Publicity Secretary, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, in a statement, said the PDP was suffering from “delusion of grandeur.”

He said the PDP was the main problem hindering the growth of democracy in Nigeria because of its anti-democratic “antics, election manipulation tendencies and lack of respect for the rule of law.” Mohammed said, “Mr. President, the reason Nigeria’s democracy has survived thus far is not the robustness of the PDP, as you have said, but the determination and courage of the good people of Nigeria, who have resolved to say ‘never again’ to anti-democratic forces, as well as the robust opposition mounted by a few progressive forces.

“Were it left for the PDP, this democracy as we know it, would have become history.”
The National Chairman, of the ACN, Chief Bisi Akande, described Jonathan’s claim as a fraudulent joke.Akande said it was evident that the opposition in the country had better knowledge of the governance than the PDP.

Speaking through his media aide, Mr. Lani Baderinwa, Akande said large scale insecurity, poverty, corruption and inefficient administration had become the hallmark of the PDP governance. Also, the National Publicity Secretary of the Congress for Progressive Change, Mr. Rotimi Fashakin, in a telephone interview with one of our correspondents, said the PDP was cause of tension in the country.

Budget: Lawmakers threaten to impeach President

Hello Friends!

Members of the House of Representatives on Thursday threatened to begin impeachment proceedings against President Goodluck Jonathan if he failed to achieve 100% budget implementation by September this year.
The lawmakers accused the President of breaching the 2012 Appropriation Act and poorly executing the budget.

Jonathan was given up to September to achieve “100% execution” of the budget or face impeachment proceedings.
The Minority Leader of the House, Mr. Femi Gbajabiamila, who proposed the amendment, received a resounding applause from the majority of members at Thursday’s session.
But the Presidency said in a reaction on Thursday that both the executive and the legislature agreed on the need for good budget implementation.

President’s spokesman, Reuben Abati, said Jonathan had made it clear several times that his administration placed a premium on performance.
Abati said, “The House and the presidency are on the same page on budget implementation. Just as the house is concerned, Mr. President is concerned too.

What happened today in the House was ironic and a big coincidence because two ministries, interior and police affairs, were in the Villa today to make presentations on their key performance index.” He added that budget implementation was a process and that the process of implementing the 2012 budget was ongoing.
Gbajabiamila had proposed the amendment to a motion before the House on the poor implementation of the budget.

“If by September 18, the budget performance has not improved to 100%, we shall begin to invoke and draw up articles of impeachment against Mr. President,” he said.
Members shouted a loud “yes”, “yes”, “yes” and clapped for the minority leader as Gbajabiamila made the proposal. He accused the executive of allegedly breaching the Appropriation Act, 2012 by engaging in “selective implementation” of the budget.

Gbajabiamila added, “What we have in our hands today is a budget of abracadabra; a budget of voodoo economy.
“I like Mr. President; he is a fine gentleman, but I like my people, the Nigerian people more.”
The original motion, which was moved by the Chairman, House Committee on Rules/Business, Mr. Albert Sam-Tsokwa, sought an interface between Jonathan and the leadership of the House on why it had been difficult for Ministries Departments and Agencies to implement the budget.

Sack Oteh, prosecute Sanusi, Reps tell Jonathan

Hello Friends!

The House of Representatives on Thursday asked the Federal Government to remove from office the Director-General of the Securities and Exchange Commission, Ms Arunma Oteh.
The lawmakers said this in their adoption of report of the House ad hoc committee which probed the near-collapse of the capital market.

The report was debated and adopted on Thursday, barely 24 hours after the Federal Government recalled Oteh from the suspension slammed on her on June 12 by the Board of the SEC which indicted her for mishandling the Project 50 of the commission.
The report, which aslo faulted Oteh’s appointment as DG on grounds of qualification, said that she lacked the competence to manage human and material resources.

Oteh was also found to have lied on oath before the panel on the ownership of nationalised banks as well as “regulatory failure in some of the recent mergers, acquisitions and approvals of transactions by SEC.”
The report in fact recommended her removal and prosecution.

But the government in a letter recalling her said Oteh was not indicted of fraud.
Some of the legislators had on Wednesday accused President Goodluck Jonathan of “shielding corruption” with the recall of Oteh while she was being investigated. They alleged that the action of the government was to pre-empt the House decision.

Spokesman for the House, Zakari Mohammed, had also said that the lawmakers would take a decision on the SEC DG, notwithstanding the government’s action.
Workers of SEC had also on Wednesday protested the recall of Oteh, arguing that her recall would erode confidence in the capital market.
But the Presidency said on Thursday that the government’s decision to bring back Oteh was independent of the House decision and that due process was followed in her recall.

Jonathan’s spokesman, Reuben Abati, told one of our correspondents in Abuja that the accusation that his boss was shielding corruption with the recall of Oteh lacked merit.
Abati said, “If you look at the content of that letter issued by the office of the Secretary to Government of the Federation, government indicated that under her (Oteh’s) watch, there were a number of lapses in terms of how procedures were managed. The letter strongly advises her to pay more attention to the management of procedures.

N15m Scandal: Jim Iyke Is A Criminal--Habiba Abubakar

Click for Full Image Size

Hello Friends!

My Thoughts:  Maybe if Jim calmly tells his side of the story to his loyal fans, there would not be so much confusion as to who is right or wrong! Res Ipsa Loquitor (The Facts Speaks for themselves)...

These are really tough times for Mr Tough Guy: Jim Iyke. Few weeks ago, he had a twitter rant where her tweeted six 'shout outs' sarcastically to Habiba Abubakar.
The tweets came as a result of an alleged 15million Naira fraud case instituted against Jim Iyke in 2011 by Habiba. His 'sarcastic 'six shout outs' on twitter few weeks ago were in response to some documents first released by Habiba to the media.
In a response to Jim Iyke's 'six shout outs' on twitter, Habiba has released another set of documents, pictures of his mother and Jim Iyke's pictures being held at the police station probably after admitting to what he was accused of.

An email purportedly from Habiba leaked to Nigeriafilms.com few minutes after we requested to have some documents from Habiba's representative.
Below is an unedited leaked e-mail purportedly from Habiba Abubakar with some documents attached:

Pandemonium as soldiers attack Lagos officials

Hello Friends!

There was pandemonium on Wednesday at Murtala Muhammed Way, Yaba after some soldiers allegedly attacked policemen attached to the Lagos State special security outfit, the Taskforce on Environmental and Special Offences (Enforcement) Unit.
It was learnt that the soldiers used bottles and stones to attack the task force officials.

They were also said to have punctured two tyres of the Black Maria belonging to the unit with knives.
According to eyewitnesses, trouble started when the task force officials, who were on patrol, accosted the driver of a commercial bus for obstructing traffic flow.
However, a soldier who was sitting in the bus snatched the key from the driver to prevent the officials from taking the bus away.

After few minutes of heated arguments, the soldier was said to have called for assistance from an army base not far from the scene of the trouble.
Within minutes, many soldiers trooped out from the base and began to throw stones and other objects at the task force officials. Some of the soldiers were said to have gone to the Black Maria brought by the task force and deflated two of its tyres.

An eyewitness said comments from the soldiers suggested that they were also angry with way Governor Babatunde Fashola treated a Colonel, who drove on BRT lane on Tuesday.
As the situation tensed up, the task force officials also called for help to match the number of soldiers attacking them.
The crisis was allegedly escalated by a Lieutenant-Colonel who arrived on the scene and ordered the soldiers to bundle some of the task force officials into the barracks.

Calm was, however, restored when a senior task force official intervened and led his men away from the area without arresting the driver.
Task Force Chairman, Bayo Sulaiman, confirmed the attack.
He said, “It as an affront on the state government because the soldiers vandalised government vehicle.“The attack was uncalled for as those task force officials were on legitimate duty.”

He added that he would be reporting the attack to higher authorities in the state.
But the spokesman for 81 Division, Lt. Col. Kayode Ogunsanya, said he was not aware of the incident. He said, “I don’t think such thing was reported and except it is reported, there is no way I will know.”

The spokesman for the state police command, Ms. Ngozi Braide, said, “I heard about the incident, but I have yet to been fully briefed on it.”

Ben Murray Bruce

Hello Friends!

News reaching us at this time, reveals that the Copyright Society of Nigeria (COSON) has  sued Silverbird Communications Ltd, owners of Silverbird Television and Rhythm FM across the country in a lawsuit against a copyright infringement by Silverbird. Also joined in the suit is the organization’s Chairman, Mr. Ben Murray Bruce.

According to the lawsuit filed at the Federal High Court, Lagos on July 18, 2012 by Lagos IP lawyer, Mr. Justin Ige COSON is asking for the compensation of more than three billion naira in unpaid royalties and damages against Silverbird Communications Ltd and its owners for the unauthorized copying, broadcast and infringement of the copyright in the musical works and sound recordings belonging to COSON members, affiliates and assignors.

Speaking on the development, COSON Chairman, Chief Tony Okoroji said, ”We have been very patient with music users in Nigeria, but that has not yielded much results. It is time people realized that at COSON we stand by our words.

“If anyone pushes us, we will push back. We have opened our doors wide and still continue to keep them open to all who are willing to discuss with us and legally deploy music in their businesses. Those who respect us will receive respect from us. Those who treat the music industry with contempt will get what they deserve’’.

It will be recalled that in June, 2012, COSON instituted a billion naira lawsuit against Globe Broadcasting & Communications Ltd, owners of the Wazobia FM stations across Nigeria.

A week later, COSON filed a two billion naira action against Steam Broadcasting & Communications Ltd owners of Cool FM. The Wazobia FM action has been resolved out of court and a big copyright royalty agreement signing ceremony is scheduled to hold in Lagos between COSON and the owners of Wazobia FM on Monday, July 23.

Mommy and me: Beyoncé Knowles revealed her new hairdo on a day out in Manhattan with her beautiful baby Blue Ivy today.

Hello Friends!

She rocked blonde braids during her Destiny's Child days and Beyoncé Knowles has now decided to revisit the look.
The singer, who has favoured soft waves in recent times, debuted her newly plaited light locks while on a shopping trip to Bergdorf Goodman in Manhattan today.
The 30-year-old, who was dressed in a patterned playsuit from her own House Of Dereon line, twisted her tresses into a big bun on top of her head and finished off her look with big hoop earrings.

She had daughter Blue Ivy cradled in her arms during the outing and the six-month-old has quite the head of hair too.
The curly-haired cutie was stylishly dressed in pink pants and a floral top and onlookers were treated to a glimpse of her beautiful face as the pair browsed through the department store.
Beyoncé and rapper husband Jay-Z welcomed their first child in January this year.

She recently hinted that the inspiration for her unusual baby's name came from a poem written by Rebecca Solnit.

'Water is colourless, shallow water appears to be the colour that lies beneath it. But deep water is full of his scattered light, the purer the water, the deeper the blue.'

Dangerous: Worryingly thin Nakhara Jacques starves herself throughout the week so she can drink alcohol without putting on weight. RIGHT: Nakhara downs pints of cider and multiple vodka shots on an empty stomach.

Hello Friends!

My Thoughts: ....A Slow walk to the valley of Death...Where are her parents/family?

A teenager who starves herself throughout the week so that she can binge on alcohol without putting on weight has appeared on This Morning to discuss her debilitating illness.
Nakhara Jacques, 18, is the victim of both alcoholism and anorexia - a condition dubbed 'drunkorexia'.

She admits to starving herself all day Sunday and Monday so that she can drink to excess in what she calls Monday Madness sessions without putting on weight from the calories consumed in the alcohol. On Tuesday, she says she might eat 'a few cubes of melon and some strawberries,' two crackers with a very thin layer of butter - she 'hates butter' - and a few cups of strong tea with very little milk - 'I throw up if I see milk,' she says.

On Wednesday, Nakhara says she always feels as though she is 'getting bigger', so she slows down her already draconian diet plan, eating just two cubes of melon all day before going out drinking.
Indeed, the one thing Nakhara does not cut back on is alcohol. She admits to drinking pints of cider and vodka shots on an empty stomach on a daily basis.

In the two and a half years that she has been living like this, her weight has plummeted to 6st 7lbs. Her hair has started to fall out and her periods have stopped.

Fatal: Nakhara appeared on This Morning to tell her story - and was faced with a psychologist who told her she could be 'dead in two years' if she continued with her harmful behaviour
Fatal: Nakhara appeared on This Morning to tell her story - and was faced with a psychologist who told her she could be 'dead in two years' if she continued with her harmful behavior.

Nakhara is suffering the side effects common to anorexics - and experts have told her that if she continues with this behaviour, she could be dead within two years.
Talking to Ruth Langsford and Eammon Holmes on This Morning, Nakhara, who says she is 'on the sick' as she can't work due to her condition, admitted she needed help - but says a support network to help people like her just doesn't exist.

'I see my doctor regularly, and I have meetings.
'But I don't think there's enough help out there to help people like me.'

Excessive: Nakhara says she starves herself on Sunday and Monday so she can take part in so-called Monday Madness drinking sessionsNakhara's family are worried for her health - saying they wish she would stop her heavy drinking sessions
Excessive: Nakhara says she starves herself on Sunday and Monday so she can take part in so-called Monday Madness drinking sessions.

Nakhara's sister Danielle says her younger sister's weight loss is worrying.
'I realized she had a problem when she started living on her own. I have a weight problem but I don'tdo the things she does. I look at my sister and think she looks really skinny. I'm really worried about her.'

This Morning's resident psychologist warned that Nakhara would be dead in two years if she carried on as she is now.
'You are only 18,' she said. 'You do not do much consequential thinking. But in five years time, you could have a brilliant career and a partner you are in love with.

'You risk losing all of that if you don't get help.'

Samantha Brick: The cult that tried to take over my life...

Close encounter: Samantha Brick was once drawn into a group that had all the hallmarks of a cult
Close encounter: Samantha Brick was once drawn into a group that had all the hallmarks of a cult.

Hello Friends!

As I slipped into the freshly made bed, it occurred to me that no one who knew and loved me had any idea where I was. I left the bedside light on for reassurance and tried to relax, but was shocked when, just minutes later, the door to my room was suddenly opened. I sat bolt upright in bed. ‘What is it?’ I asked.
‘We prefer guests to turn the lights off,’ the woman replied, before telling me my bedroom door would be locked ‘for my own safety’ until the morning.

I was so frightened I barely slept a wink that night, asking myself repeatedly why I’d been reckless enough to come to a weekend retreat under the control of an organisation I knew nothing about.
This unsettling experience came flooding back to me when I read about claims that Tom Cruise’s devotion to Scientology had contributed to the marriage break-up with his wife Katie Holmes. Sadly, I know what it’s like to be in the control of a cult.

I became a follower of Sathya Sai Baba — an Indian guru and mystic, who died last year — for 12 months, during which time I spent close to £10,000 on various ‘services’.
Looking back, I was naive. How else could I have been conned into paying for weekend retreats purporting to assist my spiritual development, expensive bottles of essences prescribed to keep me in optimum health and meditation sessions to ensure my mind was attuned to the guru?
At the time I was 25 and single, earning £50,000 a year as a TV producer and living alone in my own London flat.

I didn’t realise it then, but I was having what some psychologists refer to as a ‘quarter-life crisis’.
Suddenly, I was bored with going out every weekend, where the most meaningful questions posed by my friends were which trendy nightclub guest-list were we on and how many glasses of complimentary champagne we could consume.

I wanted purpose and meaning in my life, which made me the ideal target for a cult.
One day in 1996, I went for a massage in a plush London spa recommended by a colleague. Within minutes of meeting the therapist, Helen, I told her what I did for a job, my marital status and the fact I lived away from my family in the Midlands.
The guru Sathya Sai Baba The guru Sathya Sai Baba

I revealed I’d been reading a lot of self-help books and was feeling unfulfilled in my job. I may as well have been wearing a placard emblazoned: ‘Insecure female: please exploit me.’

Helen urged me to buy some healing essences from her. They cost £30 a bottle and she said I needed five different potions to help with the areas of my life in which I was having difficulties.
She claimed that placing drops of each essence on my tongue every day could heal my back problem, further my career, aid weight loss, improve my love life and cure my insomnia. So, I spent £150 on the five bottles.

When Helen phoned later that week to see if I was feeling better, I couldn’t help being touched and flattered by her concern. She mentioned she held weekly meditation sessions at her flat in Notting Hill, West London (I learned later that the apartment was paid for by a wealthy cult member), and I decided to go along.

Mediation was very much in vogue at the time, and I genuinely thought a few sessions with like-minded people would bring me a sense of peace. When I arrived at the flat, I was over-awed by the smart, white, stuccoed building. I rang the bell and was ushered into an elegantly decorated apartment.

There were 20 well-dressed people there, each paying £10 for an hour’s meditation. Except it wasn’t meditation — which is all about calmness and quiet — but more like a group therapy session.
Each person was invited to talk about their week: their frustrations at work, arguments with friends, disagreements with family.
I felt uncomfortable sharing my private thoughts, but Helen and the others seemed so sensible and reassuringly friendly that they put me at my ease. I was surprised at the end of the evening when all the other people there said they felt transformed. Reluctant to confess that I didn’t, I lied and said I felt amazing, too.

I was looking for a path in life, so I needed to be open to ideas, but perhaps this made me easy prey for snake-oil salesmen.
At my second ‘meditation’ session, I was told about a weekend retreat in Wiltshire, held in a house owned by a female follower of the Sai Baba movement. It cost £500 and offered ‘an experience to help you move forward in your life’.

At that point, I knew almost nothing about the organisation or what the weekend would entail, but I still signed up for it.
The woman running the retreat was a self-proclaimed guru and one of Sai Baba’s so-called representatives in Britain. I learned later that she claimed her energy force was so powerful that whenever she had sex she fused the electricity in her house.

No, I didn’t tell any of my friends that I was going to the retreat — because I didn’t want to give them the opportunity to talk me out of it. I was also worried that my family, who are devout Catholics, would question or criticise what I was doing.

It's claimed Tom Cruise's devotion to Scientology contributed to the marriage break-up with his wife Katie Holmes
It's over: It's claimed Tom Cruise's devotion to Scientology contributed to the marriage break-up with his wife Katie Holmes.

The house in Wiltshire was large and remote, and I remember the smell of incense as I walked in.
It was very calm: there was no noise, no TV and no sounds from the outside world.
I was then told that before I could attend the retreat, I had to have a mandatory session with the guru at an additional cost of £100. This ‘treatment’ would get rid of any harm from past lives I might bring into the sessions. The guru was a big woman, supremely sure of herself and very charismatic.
She told me that a man she had cured of his fear of flying had bought her a red Mercedes sports car that was parked on the drive.

She left the room and two assistants asked me to lie down on a treatment bed. They rolled my jeans up to my knees and applied creams to my legs to pull ‘evil forces’ out of my body.
I realise this sounds ludicrous, but I have to admit I was flattered by their words and the attention I received.

The retreat felt like an oasis from my London life and the fickleness of the business I worked in. I was encouraged to talk about myself, about the things I would change in my life and the person I wanted to be. All this soul-bearing was strangely seductive — I attended six more retreats over the next 16 weeks that winter.
After the third retreat, I felt as if I was experiencing the heady emotions of an intense love affair. It was a combination of the beautiful surroundings, serene atmosphere and the idea of a better life that the members promised.

I spent close to £5,000 on retreats, aura cleaning sessions (in which I supposedly purified the vibrations around me by chanting), one-to-one time with the guru and yet more bottles of essences.
At the time, I thought this was money well-spent, as I believed this kind of spirituality could be a positive influence on my life.

Moved on: Samantha is now happily married to Pascal and lives with him in France. She dreads to think what could have happened if she remained in the cult
Moved on: Samantha is now happily married to Pascal and lives with him in France. She dreads to think what could have happened if she remained in the cult.

It never occurred to me that what I was being drawn into had nothing to do with a genuine spirituality and had all the hallmarks of a cult.
Artwork by the guru — costing thousands of pounds for a picture — was on sale at the retreats. One day, I made a complimentary remark about two paintings of Hindu shapes, and from that moment on the woman selling them — who was on commission — subjected me to the hard sell.

As I wrote out a cheque for £5,000, which I couldn’t afford, I began to realise this was an organisation I didn’t want to belong to.
Talks given by the guru were often no more than mystical hogwash, but there was a sinister side to them, too.  The guru would ‘randomly’ select someone in the room and then present that person’s most private issues to the entire audience, using information gleaned during meditation sessions with Helen — who acted as her right-hand woman during these retreats — and some of the other members of staff.

One man was pressured to admit he was gay to a room full of strangers, while a woman was reduced to tears because she couldn't get pregnant. It was pitiful to witness, yet no one in the room of devotees — who included famous actors and actresses, lawyers, bankers and businessmen — did anything to stop it.

Dr Dawn Perlmutter, an expert in cults, says this stage of cult indoctrination is the point at which you are most vulnerable.
‘It’s known as milieu control. Recruits are typically in a rural, isolated environment away from their family and friends — cut off from anyone who might give them a reality check,’ she says.

WHO KNEW?
Almost half of cult members are aged between 19 and 25 when they are first recruited

‘Once they are completely broken down, they can be built up into the individuals the cult wants them to be.’
The turning point came on the day I overheard two assistants discussing the guru’s plan to ‘match’ me with a follower who worked for her full-time — an average looking man 15 years older than me. I felt deeply uncomfortable about this.

But Helen insisted that it was a wonderful opportunity for me and told me just how lucky I was to have been ‘chosen’ My blood ran cold. I’d been seeking — and paying handsomely for — spiritual enlightenment, not an arranged marriage.

I fled back home to London that night in the summer of 1997, feeling upset and unable to sleep.
The next day I changed my mobile and landline numbers, and never contacted any of the followers again. Looking back, I realised I had felt under increasing pressure to attend retreats, but had continued to hope they would teach me about myself.

I was like a lot of the followers who had jumped on the guru’s bandwagon: living miles from our families, in high-powered jobs, but looking for meaning.
I am 41 now, married and living in France with my husband, Pascal. I dread to think what would have happened if I’d stayed in the cult. I think I would have lost my money, my home and independence. Strangely, it was only five years ago that I felt able to dump the two Hindu paintings I bought. I know it was nonsense, but I held on to them in case they did have magical powers.
On a more sinister note, until I met Pascal, I was also scared of the consequences of destroying them. Even years after you have escaped from a cult, there is an unshakeable feeling the guru is still watching your every move.

Mr Kishin, a representative of the Sri Sathya Sai Central Trust UK, which was founded by Sai Baba, said: ‘I’m really shocked Samantha had to pay a penny to attend a retreat. That goes completely against all of Sai Baba’s teachings.

‘I’ve never heard of this so-called Sai Baba centre or this woman, but I imagine she preyed on rich, yet vulnerable, lonely individuals. Unfortunately, I think Samantha was taken for a ride.’

Hello Friends!

Paris Jackson may only be 14, but the teenager knows how to speak her mind.
Michael Jackson's only daughter today tweeted angry rants about one of her famous uncles, saying, 'I will defend my beloved family members with all I have, even if it means from other family members.'

The high school sophomore was referring to a letter in which Randy, along with famous siblings Jermaine, Janet, Tito and Rebbie demand the resignation of John Branca and John McClain from their positions as executors of the Michael Jackson estate.

In the letter, the family claims Branca and Mclain have taken such advantage of the family that stressed out Katherine Jackson suffered a 'mini-stroke' as a result.
Katherine, 82, has been caring for the late singer's three children since Michael died three years ago at the age of 50.
Paris may fear that if authorities believe Katherine is ill and feeble, she and her brothers, Prince and Blanket, could be removed from her care.

Nonetheless, Randy went to Twitter last night and verified the letter was true - which immediately got Paris' blood racing.
'I am going to clarify right now that what has been said about my grandmother is a rumor and nothing has happened, she is completely fine,' Paris tweeted.

She added, 'I'd like to know who made up the rumor… i will defend my beloved family member with all i have, even if it means from other family members.'

Minutes later, Paris sent a new message directed to Randy -- which said, '@randyjackson8 hello dear FAMILY member i don't appreciate you telling everyone things that aren't true thank you very much.' That message was later deleted from her account.
When one of her followers suggested Paris should have respect for Randy ... she replied, 'Maybe he should have respect for his mother.'
