Hello Friends!
This is more than being frustrated with any condition...Did the wife show concern and love towards him? How well where they taking care of him?...I just don't know how to analyze this situation...
A businessman, Mr. Ahmed Omobumbe, in the early hours of Saturday committed suicide at his home.
According to police reports, the 40-year-old man had been sick for a while and had become frustrated with his condition.
PUNCH Metro learnt that the deceased, who hailed from Auchi, Edo State, waited for his two children to go to bed before hanging himself.
It was further learnt that the deceased who lived with his children at Orisan Street, Ajangbadi, Lagos, left no suicide note.
Our correspondent gathered that his corpse was discovered by one of his children around 10am after which the case was reported at the Ilemba Hausa Police Division.
The Lagos Police Public Relations Officer, Mr. Joseph Jaiyeoba, confirmed the incident to our correspondent on the telephone.
He said, “At about 10:30am on April 7, 2012, Omobumbe was found hanging in his apartment at Orisan Street, Ajamgbadi.
“The deceased and his wife didn’t live together but he lived with his two children and investigations revealed that he had been frustrated due to a certain illness.
“His corpse was initially taken to a mortuary but was later taken to his hometown where he will be buried.”
Jaiyeoba seized the opportunity to urge members of the public to seek counselling or share their problems with family members rather than resort to suicide.
