'I am proud to have my daughter grow up in a world where she has people like you to look up to': Beyonce's open letter to Michelle Obama

Hello Friends!
Nice show of confidence in not just Michelle Obama as a first lady, but in the Obama administration...

Beyonce has written an open letter to Michelle Obama, expressing her admiration and pride in the U.S. First Lady.

The singer, 30, who posted the handwritten missive on her new website, declared Mrs Obama 'the ultimate example of a truly strong African-American woman.'

She wrote that she was 'proud to have my daughter grow up in a world where she has people like you to look up to.'

Among the attributes of the First Lady that Beyonce most admires are the fact that she is 'humble, loving and sincere' despite 'the pressure, and the stress of being under the microscope'.
She also praises Mrs Obama for being a caring mother, and a loving wife, while at the same time being First Lady.

'She builds and nurtures her family, while also looking out for so many millions in so many ways,' the letter read.

The new mother thanked Mrs Obama for 'every single thing that u do [sic]' before signing off, 'love, Beyonce'.

The open letter follows Beyonce's support at a fundraiser Mrs Obama hosted with Robert De Niro last month at New York's Greenwich Hotel.

She and her husband, Jay-Z, have long been prominent supporters of President Obama.

The singer has designed a T-shirt for the Runway To Win initiative, which is raising funds for the Obama re-election campaign, and last year she joined the First Lady in a Let's Move flash workout event.
