A middle aged man identified as Alabi Dotun slumped and died on a road side at Ikotun Lagos after he made a huge monetary loss on a lottery.
He shouted, slumped and died along the road after he discovered that he lost his bet.
P.M.NEWS later gathered that he staked huge amount of money with the hope he would win but ended up losing the bet.
Eyes witnesses told P.M.NEWS that the man popularly known as Coach in the area died as a result of shock he suffered for losing the bet.
They said he rushed to the lottery house and checked his bet and immediately he saw he missed the numbers that won at the weekend, he shouted, slumped and died.
This suggested that he might have staked a huge amount of money as claimed by his associates at Ikotun Police Station.
The incident happened opposite Ikotun police station where he staked the lottery bet.

The police rushed him to a nearby hospital where a doctor certified him dead.
His body has been deposited at Isolo mortuary where his autopsy report is being awaited.
When P.M.NEWS visited the lottery spot, the owner of the place who did not want his name mentioned, confirmed that Dotun was actually his customer and declined to say the amount he staked before his untimely death.
He also told our correspondence that he had won many times in the past.
The Divisional Police Officer, DPO at Ikotun Division was not around to comment on the matter when P.M.NEWS visited.
However, police source confirmed the incident and informed P.M.NEWS that they were making efforts to contact the family of the deceased resident in Lagos.
