And last night Kim Kardashian shared exactly how she achieves such a picture perfect complexion, by posting a picture of herself on her Twitter page.

In the shot, Kim is seen with some kind of yellow-based primer smeared all over her otherwise make-up free face.

She posted the picture with the caption: 'Glamming up with @1maryphillips!!! A little confused by her new technique BUT I know it will be fab!'

Celebrity make-up artist Mary Phillips counts Kim, Jessica Simpson, Jennifer Lopez and Salma Hayek among her famous clients.

Kim later tweeted a shot of the finished look, writing: 'Flash a little bright but here's the after pic!!!'

Kim was having her make-up done ahead of attending the Jeep Brand and USA Basketball celebration of the launch of the 2012 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Altitude at LA Center Studio.

While it is not clear exactly what kind of product was used on Kim's face, it appeared to be some kind of colour-correcting primer.

Yellow-coloured primer is usually used to disguise under-eye circles and mild red tones on the face.

Despite the fact that Kim has long been an advocate of experimenting with make-up, she has also posed make-up free in the past - describing the experience as 'empowering'.

She said: 'Make-up is fun, but it’s just another accessory.

'I’m happy with myself, and this is who I am.

'As much as it’s fun to glam up, the most important thing is to be comfortable in your own skin - with or without makeup.'
