Doting father who spent £20,000 hiring Nicole Kidman and Tulisa to appear at his daughter's Super Sweet 16 facing jail after financial empire collapses

Hello Friends!

A most in sensitive and foolish father if you ask me! In essence, he is destroying his daughter's future...

A devoted father who spent £20,000 hiring Nicole Kidman and Tulisa from N-Dubz to appear at his daughter's Super Sweet 16 is facing a possible jail sentence after the collapse of his business empire.

Harbinder Panesar spent a fortune showering Anysha with expensive luxury gifts and even bankrolled her dream to become a beauty queen.

But the 45-year-old faces losing the family's £500,000 house in the Vale of Glamorgan and a spell behind bars after breaching a court order banning him from selling car insurance.

Panesar and his daughter made headlines in 2009 when the Moulin Rouge-themed party he threw her featured on MTV reality show My Super Sweet 16 - even thought it was actually her 15th birthday.

The £20,000 budget included a helicopter to ferry Anysha to the party in Porthcawl, a performance by X-Factor judge Tulisa and a special video message from Hollywood star Nicole Kidman.

Mr Panesar and his wife Caroline, 43, also showered their daughter with birthday gifts, including a Gucci handbag, a £3,000 dress, £1,500 personalised mobile phone and £400 sunglasses.

He told MTV at the time: 'If any parents are going to have a Super Sweet 16 party I would suggest that they have very long pockets and very long arms to reach in to those pockets.'

The teen also went onto make headlines in 2010 when, with her father's financial help, she entered and won the America's Perfect Teen pageant, was crowned Miss Teen Great Britain, and landed on the cover of SuperModels magazine.

But the family is facing an uncertain financial future after a judge ruled Mr Panesar and his business partner Anthony Thomas breached a freezing order placed on their collapsed car insurance company, by going into the same business under a different name.

The High Court placed a freezing order Mr Panesar's company Motorcare Warranties in 2008, after a complaint by insurers Templeton who claimed they were owed more than £2.3million for underwriting breakdown policies.

The same year, Mr Panesar set up a new company, Motorcare Elite - but that firm went bust in 2011, angering drivers, who were warned by the Financial Services Authorities their policies may now be 'worthless'.

High Court judge Mr Justice Eder last week ruled Mr Panesar breached the freezing order and was in contempt of court for 'wilful interference with the administration of justice'.

Sentence was adjourned until next month - but the judge warned: 'It is important to state that in light of my conclusions, all options remain open including a sentence of imprisonment.'

In the meantime, all Mr Panesar's assets have been frozen, including the family's home in the Vale of Glamorgan.

Speaking outside court, Mr Panesar said: 'It’s one of those things. I’m going to appeal.'
Anysha yesterday declined to comment - but a friend said she was 'supporting' her father through the crisis.
