Landlord arraigned for attempting to rape tenant

Hello Friends!
Is there a war between Landlords and Tenants? Yesterday it was a tenant beating up a Landlord and today a Landlord has been arraigned for attempting to rape a tenant? What's going on?

A 40-year-old landlord, Mr. Kazeem Baruwa, was on Monday, arraigned before an Osogbo Magistrate’s Court for allegedly attempting to rape one of his tenants, Ms. Sola Akinola.
The charge sheet read in court accused Baruwa of indecently assaulting Akinola while attempting to rape her inside her apartment.

Baruwa committed the alleged offence on March 18, 2012, on Baruwa Street, Osogbo, Osun State.
According to the charge sheet, Baruwa forcefully stripped Akinola of her pant and bra and pushed her to the floor with intent to rape her.

But the accused pleaded not guilty to the three counts of attempted rape, assault and unlawful entry.
Baruwa’s lawyer, Mr. Adeyemi Adedeji, applied for the accused bail, praying the court to grant it on liberal term.
Adedeji, who maintained that the accused was innocent, promised that Baruwa would not jump bail.
He further assured the court that if granted bail, Baruwa would neither interfere nor jeopardise police investigation.

Police prosecutor, Sergeant Joshua Oladoye, did not oppose the bail application.
The Magistrate, Mr. Olalekan Ijiyode, admitted the accused to bail in the sum of N100, 000 and two sureties. He adjourned the case till April 13, 2012.
