Don Jazzy & D'Banj's Split: My Opinion.

Hello Friends!
I sincerely believe that until these two guys are put in the same room and asked why they really parted ways, we would never come to terms with the breakup news...

A Friend of mine just watched the new Oliver Twist Video and updated me on its quality and graphics etc. I have not seen the much talked about video, but it confirms my own fears and opinions on why Don Jazzy decided to part ways with D'Banj. I particularly admire these two talented and creative men and it beats my mind why they could not just continue to be mega creative stars TOGETHER.

Anyways, change must occur, no matter how far we seem to run from it. If they feel that they would soar higher and achieve better without each other, who are we to judge their individual reasons for parting ways?

Let us return back to my individual opinion on why these two great men must have gone their separate ways: Rumour has it that Jay -Z's split from Def Jam Recordings was due to his widely publicized involvement with the Illuminati.

It is no secret that Jay-Z is directly or indirectly involved with this group (as Kanye West is) and is seen as a kind of "recruiter" of young and talented individuals who want world fame and success at the snap of their fingers.

My theory is, D'Banj is now part of this same elite club or cult like some people want to call it, thereby putting Don Jazzy in a tight spot!

The challenge Don Jazzy would have had with his conscience would be his membership with the Illuminati. My thought is our dear Don Jazzy, decided that he was not ready/willing to sell his soul just yet to any being but GOD. This is just my theory and It kind of fits into all the puzzle...

I do believe 100% that D'Banj is now a member of this group as indicated by certain signs and symbols seen in his new "Oliver Twist Video. These same signs and symbols are always evident in Jay -Z, Rihanna, Beyounce, Kanye, Lady Gaga's videos.

The trend now is that if you want to prosper and improve in your chosen career (Political, Musical, Movie, etc) you should belong to the Illuminati. I cannot verify this, but those that are members have a certain amount of success that looks fake. So what's the point?

The painful part in all of these assumptions or theories is that these so called members either end up as drug addicts or alcoholics! After they decline as fast as they climbed the ladder of success, they usually die young!  This was also the assumption with Amy Winehouse!

If you watched the just concluded Grammy Awards, you would have noticed Rihanna's un stable attitudes and lost expressions. The cameras wondered as much as many of us did.

Reports have it that Rihanna has been "swimming inside many bottles" lately and if care is not taken, she might check indeed into a "Rehab" alone and not with Justin Timbarlake *LOL* I am referring to her Rehab video where she featured JT.

Anyways, I would expect that credit should be given to Don Jazzy, who many feel and believe was(is) like the "back bone" of the MO HITS Crew. Credit for making a decision that ordinarily is a very painful and difficult one and at the same time, a Life Changing One.

I do not know what to say about D'Banj's decision to roll with the likes of Jay-Z and Kanye West, to the extent that he had to decide to completely ROLL with them without Don Jazzy...We should also give him some credit. I want to believe that it must have also been a very tough and difficult decision for him to make.

However, let us not forget the TRUTH in the saying "All that Glitters, is NOT GOLD".

I wish these two men all the best and hope that none of them would regret treading their chosen paths.

xoxo

  1. Good personal analysis Franca. I like the fact that you took time to analyse what has been reported in across blogs and come up with your own view. Time will tell.

These guys had one the biggest music label in Africa, which was a result of their combined artistic talents. In my opinion they both need each other!!

  2. Thanks for the insight Cheska baby....for me really ,all I know is that this two are mega talented buddies that bonded together, and for the fact that Don jazzy decided to give everything they made since 9yrs together to 5 charities sends more message than the speculations..I respect Don jazzy..am not a fan of secular music because of the stories (illuminati) and the way their lyrics goes but I have never ceased to enjoy our pure Naija talented artiste and most of their lyrics.its still pure music, pure entertainment till we begin to hear otherwise...we may not know exactly and the full story behind their split but one thing is very sure,a whole lot are against D'banj, all of a sudden people began to see him as the black sheep, this of course may kill his music in Nigeria and he needs support from his home country no matter who he is working with.
I pray that our boys 2face,Psquare,Darey,Naija ninja, a whole lot of old and the new upcoming artiste who have been giving us pure music to continue and never sell their souls to fame.

  3. Thank you ZimbeatNews!!! @Oly, on the contrary. You see, the idea behind the Illuminati and music,is that there must be a big guy/girl who has been in the industry for a while and is respected amongst his/her peers. This guy/girl is then used as a link to connect with the younger/new talents who are eager for a quick way to stardom.

We just need to pray really hard because now, D'Banj's aim would be to sign on young desperate talents onto his label and of course, the condition would always be membership to Illuminati!

This is my fear. We have young talented artists willing to be signed on to reputable Music labels but no sponsors etc.... This is my fear...
