A 45-year-old man, Sikiru Oladejo, was arraigned at an Osogbo magistrate’s court on Wednesday over an allegation that he attempted to cut off the penis of his younger brother, Kabiru.
Sikiru allegedly grabbed the penis of his younger brother and attempted to pull it off during a brawl between them.
According to the charge sheet obtained on Wednesday, the accused also allegedly tore the clothes of his younger brother.
The offence was said to be contrary to Section 351 of Osun State Criminal Law, while his conduct was said to have contravened Section 248(d) of Osun Penal Code.
The Prosecutor, Insp. Fagboyinbo Abiodun, said the suspect allegedly conducted himself in a manner likely to breach public peace contrary to section 249(d) of the state penal code.
The suspect purportedly committed the alleged crime on March 23, 2012 at about 8:40am in Okinni area of Egbedore Local Government Area of the state.
