The Lagos State Government has doled out N1.3m to seven National Youth Service Corps members who distinguished themselves in their service to the state.The recipients comprised five males and two females, according to a statement by the Ministry of Special Duties on Sunday.
The statement quoted the Commissioner for Special Duties, Dr. Wale Ahmed, as saying the gesture was to motivate other corps members.While presenting the cash awards, Ahmed urged other corps members to key into the mega city developmental programme going on across the state.
He said distinct contributions of corps members to the administration of Babatunde Fashola had reinforced the government’s belief that many youths had potential to lead the country to greatness.
