Surprised you found space! Tattoo fan Trace Cyrus shaves his head to make room for yet more body art

One would think that it wouldn't be possible for Trace Cyrus to find any more space on his body to tattoo.

But with non-inked skin becoming rare real estate on the 23-year-old's body, he simply cleared up some space by shaving his head.

The former Metro Station guitarist and his father, Billy Ray Cyrus, had some father-son tattooing done yesterday, according to Trace's Twitter.

Trace, older brother of Miley, had an Indian Chief etched onto his scalp, dwarfing his previous head inkings including a diamond ring, a dove, two feathers and the initials 'TN' with an anchor.

It is possible that Trace took inspiration from Billy Ray's tattoo for his newest addition, as the Achy Breaky Heart singer has a Native American portrait on his left arm amongst his full sleeve of artwork. Cyrus wrote: 'Got my head tatted today! Excuse all the ink on my face. And yes this hurt!!'

Earlier, Trace revealed to fans that his country star father was also braving the tattoo needle. 'With my dad! He is getting his back tattooed! Gangster!' he wrote.

Fans haven't been treated to a picture of the 50-year-old's new body art yet.
Trace also tweeted that he plans to shave and tattoo the other side of his head next week.

The musician's chest and arms are completely covered in colourful tattoos.
His sister Miley is also a fan of tattoos, with twelve known inkings to date.

Billy Ray also has an eagle on his right arm and a heart, reportedly drawn by Miley, on his hand.

After the break-up of Metro Station, who had a hit song, Shake It, in 2008, Trace formed the band Ashland HIGH.
He announced his engagement to The Social Network actress Brenda Song in October.

The couple have been dating for two years. Trace previously dated Demi Lovato.
