Just yesterday, we posted a report of how over due Jessica Simpson was and how there were speculations that she could be inducing labour by going on a bumpy ride with fiancee Eric...Well at the end of that post, we did pray that she gives birth safely too!
Here it is! She gave birth to a baby girl just today! Halleluyah! Finally!

We never thought this day would come, but Jessica Simpson finally gave birth to a baby girl May 1 in Los Angeles. Named Maxwell Drew Johnson, whose middle name is also the maiden name of Jessica’s mom Tina Simpson, the new arrival weighs in at 9 lbs., 13 oz., and is 23 1/4 inches long.
Jessica and fiancé Eric Johnson posted this special message to fans on her blog:
“Eric and I are elated to announce the birth of our baby girl, Maxwell Drew Johnson. We are so grateful for all of the love, support and prayers we have received. This has been the greatest experience of our lives!!”
It was beginning to seem like Jessica was going to be pregnant forever, and one NYC obstetrician told HollywoodLife on April 30 that labor would likely need to be induced soon.
After endless media speculation, Jessica officially announced her pregnancy Oct. 31 with a tongue-in-cheek blog post. “It’s true, I’m going to be a mummy,” she posted, along with a picture of her Halloween costume — a mummy.
