Hello Friends!
''Vulnerable daughter?'' Couldn't she have told someone in the family? The daughter is as sick as her father!
A man who lived like 'husband and wife' with his vulnerable daughter and had three children with her was jailed yesterday.
The 47-year-old man from the county of Conwy in North Wales was told by Judge Merfyn Hughes QC that the girl was 'completely and totally under your influence'.
'She was an extremely vulnerable young girl when you started abusing her,' he added.
A man who fathered three children with his daughter was jailed for five years and ten months and must register as a sex offender indefinitely
'You have been a controlling influence in her life ever since then. You are a considerable risk to someone like her.'
The man, who cannot be named in order to protect the identity of the girl, had admitted sexual activity with his daughter now in her early 20s.
He was jailed for five years and ten months and must register as a sex offender indefinitely.
Judge Hughes said at Caernarfon crown court: 'There’s considerable and significant potential impact of genetic complications in all three cases.'
A sexual offences prevention order was made which bans contact with the woman and children unless approved by social services.
The man must not form an intimate relationship or live with any adult who has children without disclosing the relationship to social services.
Prosecutor Kate Meredith-Jones said the woman was 15 when her father told her he was falling in love with her.
'She was made to feel special,' the barrister said. 'She describes how he got her drunk on whiskey which she didn’t normally drink.'
The man kissed his daughter but she pushed him away on this occasion saying: 'No, you can’t - you’re my dad.
But the next day they had sex and almost every night thereafter it occurred.
The woman told police she was a 'willing participant'.
The woman told police she was a 'willing participant'.
The prosecutor added: 'They had lived like husband and wife, sharing a double bed.'
After the first baby, social services became involved but the woman and her father both claimed someone else was the tot’s dad.
The judge said the family 'closed ranks' and maintained there was no improper activity after the second child was born.
The man had been aware the authorities were concerned about what was happening in the house.
The truth emerged after she fell pregnant for the third time.
Defence counsel Elen Owen said: 'He agrees there’s nothing he can say that excuses the enormity of what he’s done and the consequences.'
The barrister said the woman wanted him to be allowed to return to the family home. 'It’s a very complex situation,' she added.
