And Hollywood stars such as Jennifer Aniston, Christina Aguilera and Taylor Swift were clearly chuffed about scooping the pool at the People's Choice Awards on Wednesday night.
The three women, among a long line of other A-listers, hammed it up for the camera as they posed, some with their statuettes, in portraits taken throughout the night.

Friends star Jennifer was so enamored with her award that she was pictured kissing the crystal trophy. Meanwhile, Swift recreated a look of shock and awe as she posed for an official portrait in her plunging white gown.
Other stars were a little more subdued, including big winner Jennifer Lawrence, who took home six awards on the night.

The 22-year-old Hunger Games star daintily posed in her draped sequin dress with a big smile plastered on her face.
The same also went for Katy Perry and Sandra Bullock, who looked proud holding onto their statuettes. Other attendees also posed for official portraits and used the opportunity to clown around.

Perry was the fan favourite in top music categories, including Pop Artist, Female Artist and Music Video (Part of Me), while her KatyCats won Favorite Music Fan Following.
Lawrence, freshening an Old Hollywood look in a draped sequined dress, also took the stage to accept gongs for Favorite Movie, Favorite Action Movie and Favorite Movie Franchise for The Hunger Games.

The Wanted were named Favorite Breakout Artist, beating Carly Rae Jepsen, Fun., Gotye and One Direction to the title at the fan-voted awards.
One Direction, with their hit What Makes You Beautiful, beat out Carly Rae Jepsen (Call Me Maybe), Maroon 5 (One More Night), Taylor Swift (We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together) and Fun. ft. Janelle Monáe (We Are Young) for Favorite Song.

An emotional video montage of Bullock with students and volunteers at the school played as she accepted the award from Regina King.
'That little clip that you saw does not even begin to scrape the surface of the amazing volunteers and humanitarians I've come to love in New Orleans,' she said.
'And I'm not at all being modest when I say I don't do anything compared to what they do on a daily basis... I am simply blessed to be able to do what I do because of what you allow me to do and that is write a check and be a really good cheerleader and that's it,' she added graciously.

Taylor Swift suffered a bit of deja vu when presenter Olivia Munn seemed attached to her award for Favorite Country Music Artist, conjuring images of Kanye West storming the stage at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards, when Taylor won for Best Female Video.

Other TV awards went to Awkward (Favorite Cable TV Comedy), Jimmy Fallon (Favorite Late-Night TV Host), Jennifer Aniston (Favorite Comedic Movie Actress), Supernatural (Favorite Sci-Fi Fantasy Show), Ellen DeGeneres (Favorite Daytime TV Hose), Ellen Pompeo (Favorite Dramatic TV Actress), Nathan Fillion (Favorite Dramatic TV Actor), Castle (Favorite TV Crime Drama), Beauty & the Beast (Favorite New TV Drama), The New Normal (Favorite New TV Normal) and The Big Bang Theory (Favorite Network TV Comedy).
