[MAN STABS GIRLFRIEND TO DEATH AFTER CRASH OF 4 YEAR ROMANCE]

Hello Friends!

A 30-year-old man, Joseph Quarshie, has been arrested by the police for allegedly stabbing his girlfriend to death at Maamobi in Accra. After stabbing the girlfriend, identified as Naomi Wepeah Ayagah, 23, with a sharp kitchen knife, the suspect is alleged to have stabbed himself.

While the suspect survived, his girlfriend was pronounced dead at the Roman Ridge Hospital in Accra. According to Mr Clement Ayagah, the deceased's father, the family was still at a loss as to what actually overcame the suspect to end his daughter's life. He said that his daughter and her boyfriend had lived together for four years.

He said about 10pm last Monday, October 22, he overheard the daughter arguing seriously on phone with the suspect over their relationship.

After the conversation, Naomi was said to have gone to the suspect's house to collect her belongings but never returned. "My daughter went to the suspect's house to get her belongings and never came back home," Mr. Ayagah said. In the heat of the argument that ensued at Quarshie's residence, he was said to have slain his girlfriend. Mr Ayagah said his daughter and the suspect were rushed to the Roman Ridge Hospital at 12.30 a.m. because both were bleeding profusely but, unfortunately, Naomi was pronounced dead yesterday morning.
