D'banj & Mavin Crew To Perform *After 10 Months Break Up...

Hello Friends!

In March 2012, the news of the biggest showbiz break-up between Don Jazzy (President of Mohits

records) and Kokomaster, D'banj (Vice President) broke out, and as hard as it was to believe at that time, the reality dawned on the Nigerian music industry that the once upon a time relationship between Don Jazzy and D'banj has indeed hit the rocks.

The aftermath of the break-up raised a lot of accusations and counter accusations from both parties which till date still remains shrouded in mystery. D'banj subsequently relocated to the UK and US for about 4 months where he was enjoying the buzz from his Don Jazzy produced single "Oliver Twist" until recently when he began making efforts to win the hearts of his Nigerian fans, thus he released his first post. Mohits break-up single which he titled "Oyato", and since went on to featured on songs with Naeto C on "Tony Mantana Remix", Iyanya on "Kukere Remix" and K-Switch on "Sister Caro".

Don Jazy on the other hand chose to stay back in Nigeria to Nurture his talents and members of the defunct Mo'hit records who chose to stay with him, he founded a New Record label called MAVIN records with Dr. Sid, D'Prince, Tiwa Savage and Wande Coal as his artistes, and went on to release a collaboration album titled "Solar Plexus.

"Though pundits have adjudged the album to be not very commercially successful, both parties (D'banj & Don Jazzy) still remain relevant in their own rights. Since both of them went their separate ways, there hasn't been any recorded event where they have been scheduled to share the same stage, but right now come November 23rd, 2012 at TBS, Lagos, at a show tagged "High Impact 2", D'banj, Mavin Crew and other top stars like Iyanya, Waje and Davido would thrill fans to a night of fun.

The event 'High Impact 2" is the second in its series and it's organized by Yanju Lipede's Solutions Media. Recall that the company celebrated its first anniversary with High Impact 1 which featured the Crème-De-La-Crème of the Society and Showbiz giants like Dan Foster, Segun Arinze, Omo Baba, Tuface, MI and others.

With the second edition slated for 23rd of November and having D'banj and the Mavin Crew, music industry pundits have began to speculate on how it would turn out especially coming on the heels of Dr. Sid's allegation that D'banj's influence and popularity overshadowed the growth of his own career. Now the questions are, when D'banj comes head to head with the Mavin Crew at High Impact 2, whose performance would be better? Would they throw shots at each other? Would they throw shots at each other? What would be the impact of this show on their careers?
