Hello Friends!
Omar Borkan Al Gala, the model who was reportedly deported from Saudi Arabia for being "too handsome," says he will not talk about the incident that propelled him into stardom until the movie based on the situation is released.
Last month, Al Gala, who is originally from Dubai, and two other delegates from the United Arab Emirates, were escorted out of a religious festival in Saudi Arabia. According to the local media, the men were "too sexy for Saudi Arabia" and were reportedly deported from the country. However, that incident helped the 25-year-old hottie become an Internet sensation and acquire almost 1 million "likes" on his Facebook fan page.
In a recent interview on CTV British Columbia News, Al Gala refused to confirm whether or not he was truly deported from Saudi Arabia, and instead promised that the full story will be revealed in an upcoming movie.
"I can't talk about this right now," said the model/actor. He laughed when asked if he was even in Saudi Arabia for the music festival.
When eTalk's Lainey Lui tried n to get the hunk to open up, he simply replied: "Whatever happened in Saudi is going to stay in Saudi for now."
Lui later said that Al Gala may be staying quiet to keep up the mystery surrounding the story.
"I think this is somebody who understands how to leverage a little bit of attention for a lot of gain," she said.
Although he's never claimed the story to be true, or denied it, he admitted that the media attention has given his career a boost. "As a model, yeah, it put me on the next level," he said.
Al Gala said he's shooting a movie about the ordeal, where the entire story will emerge.
"I'm not saying it's not true. I'm not saying it's true. It's coming," he said.
Since the incident, Al Gala has moved to Vancouver, Canada with his family where he has been fielding numerous entertainment offers, and is even receiving luxury gifts like cars from admirers.
