They have been loyally continuing the legacy since the tragic death of their charitable father Christopher Reeve and stepmother Dana in 2004 and 2006 respectively.
And there’s no doubt that the Superman actor and his doting wife would have been incredibly proud if they could have seen Matthew Reeve and Alexandra Reeve Givens on Wednesday.
The siblings spearhead the Christopher and Dana Reeve Foundation, which aims to find treatments and cures for paralysis and improve the quality of life for people living with disabilities.

It is one of the charities that Christopher – who was left quadriplegic following a riding accident – left behind when he died aged 52 in October 2004.
Dana was diagnosed with lung cancer eight months later and passed away aged 44 in March 2006.
They were joined by a host of stars for a Magical Evening gala in New York, including the likes of Meryl Streep, who is a big supporter of the cause.
Following suit: Matthew and Alexandra sit on the board of the foundation which aims to discover treatments and cures for paralysis and improve the quality of life for people living with disabilities.

Streep, who spoke onstage at the event and also attended last year, was dressed in a loose-fitting top and matching black trousers.
