Worrying: Megan Stammers, right, went missing from her home and is now believe to in France with her teacher Jeremy Forrest, left, from her home town.

Hello Friends!

‘I don’t care what you’ve done, I just want you to come home’: Tearful mother pleads for girl, 15, to return as police urge teacher, 30, to ‘do the right thing’

The divorced parents of a schoolgirl who has run off to France with her married maths teacher have begged her to return home as police admitted they do not know where they are.
Megan Stammers' sobbing mother Danielle Wilson told a press conference this afternoon: 'Sweetheart I don’t care what you’ve done or why, I just want you home', adding: 'You know that your adorable princess wants her adorable mermaid back.'

Sussex police say teacher Jeremy Forrest, 30, has taken his pupil to France by ferry in secret and they have not been seen or heard from since.
Her disappearance was not spotted until she failed to appear at school on Friday and they are believed to be in France but could have gone further afield.

Her father Martin Stammers told how Megan sent him a text message last Tuesday asking to spend some time together.
He arranged to meet her on Saturday but she did not keep the date as her and Mr Forrest were already out of the country.
'We had a date on Saturday, we didn’t make it. Babes, that offer’s still there sweetheart,' he said.

'I just want you to come home safe and well, babes please.'
Describing her as 'everything you would want in a daughter', he added: 'We are a family unit working together, strength is coming from within all of us, as a family, our close friends (are) striving so hard.
'I would like to thank the people supporting us out there on the social networks, Twitter, Facebook. Please keep posting, keep tweeting, please keep re tweeting.'

In a message to both of them Chief Inspector Jason Tingley said: 'We believe that you (Megan) left on your own accord with Jeremy but we need to hear that you are OK. Your family and friends are extremely worried, but you are not in any trouble.

'My message to Mr Forrest is that this may not have gone as you expected it to. Right now our priority it to know that Megan is safe and I would ask you to do the right thing and make contact with us.

'We will work with you to get you both safely back into the country.'
The pair travelled out on a ferry together on Thursday evening from Dover to Calais, and were due to return to the UK yesterday but did not use their tickets.

The alarm was raised at midday on Friday after Megan failed to turn up for school.
The married maths teacher wrote their forbidden love had 'hit him like heroin', his internet blog revealed.

Forrest also spent four months grooming his pupil Megan Stammers on Twitter - bombarding her with romantic messages.
In a revealing blog he announced a 'moral dilemma', adding: 'How do we, and how should we, define what is right or wrong, acceptable or unacceptable?'

Hinting at the romance that may have been happening at school, he said: 'I came to a few different conclusions, mainly that actually we get a lot of things wrong, but at the end of the day I was satisfied that if you can look yourself in the mirror and know that, under all the front, that you are a good person, that should have faith in your own judgement.'

He also said: 'The last two weeks have been pretty intense, in both a good and a bad way!!! I’ll touch on the bad, although it will have to be a bit vague to be public-ally digestible'.
Ms Wilson and Mr Stammers both said Megan’s disappearance was out of character for the teenager.

Jeremy Forrest
Alias: Jeremy Forrest is a keen musician and performs under the name Jeremy Ayre.

'She is always in at 7pm, she is not one of these kids to roam the streets, she doesn’t go out drinking or anything like that. She doesn’t like the dark so she had never been out after dark,' Ms Wilson said.
She added: 'It is completely out of character, this is not her, she is not like this.'

It is believed that Megan Stammers, 15, has boarded a Channel ferry with Forrest and British and French police are now desperately searching for them.
In a frightening hint at what was to come, tweeting under his stage name, Jeremy Ayre, he wrote: 'Let's run away together.'
And in another he wrote: 'I wanna wake up naked next to you, kissing the curve in your clavicle'

This morning French police issued an ‘all motorways’ alert as they search for the runaway schoolgirl.

Both are thought to be travelling in a black Ford Fiesta, with officers combing the road network.
‘This is our starting point for the search, but there have been no sightings so far,’ said a coordinating officer in France’s national police force.
‘All motorways patrols have been alerted, and there will also be officers looking out for the car on minor roads.’

Forrest is a prolific blogger, and in one post, he wrote: ‘I’m sinking like a stone in the sea. I’m burning like a bridge for your body.’ In another, he said: ‘There are some things I’ll live without. But I want you to know that I need you right now. I need you tonight..’

Forrest twice urged her to ‘run away’ and then a series of tweets followed, apparently aimed at Megan.
On May 30, he wrote: ‘Girl, I say if only life would lean our way. Well, you and me, we’d run away to be wherever our adventure waits.’
Two weeks later, he posted: ‘I don’t want to be what they want me to be. I only want to be with you.’ In another, he indicated plans for a clandestine meeting, writing: ‘A sign please!!! Is it safe?’ And a few days later, he said: ‘Me & you. Let’s just run away.’

But amid all his romantic messages there are hints of a temper. On June 22, he wrote: ‘If anger was a currency, I’d be so ****ing rich right now...’

Her school has now spoken out about the incident involving one of their teachers and a pupil, which senior staff admitted was 'shocking'.
However, Terry Boatwright, executive headteacher at Megan's school, Bishop Bell C of E, did at no point mention Forrest.
'The whole school community is deeply concerned for Megan and shocked by what has happened,' he said.

'The thoughts and prayers of us all are with Megan and her family at this time.

'We would urge her to get in touch with her family to let them know she is OK and we would echo the police's call for anyone with information to contact them.
'Clearly, everyone's main concern is Megan's safe return home. As a matter of urgency, the school and local authority are investigating exactly what has happened before deciding what action needs to be taken.

'We are in close contact with police who are at a critical stage of their investigation and, for that reason, we cannot comment further at this stage.'

The devastated family of the schoolgirl has pleaded with her to ‘come home safe’.
Megan’s father Martin Stammers last night told the Daily Mail: ‘It’s been hell. We have no idea where she is.
‘The whole family has been rallying together and we’ve been working closely with the police. We just want her home safe.’

Mr Stammers, who teaches at the sister school of Forrest’s, pleaded on his Facebook page: ‘Come home safe my beautiful daughter xx.’
His plea came as neighbours of Forrest claimed he was prone to aggressive outbursts during domestic disputes with his wife.

'I had a bit of a moral dilemma to deal with, both internally and externally. And the overiding question it left me with was this; How do we, and how should we, define what is right or wrong, acceptable or unacceptable???'

They said police had been called to his family home on several occasions.
Megan was last seen by her family on Friday morning when she left her mother’s home in Eastbourne, East Sussex, apparently to attend Bishop Bell School in the town, where Forrest works.

But neither the pupil nor the teacher arrived at school, and CCTV footage from later that evening showed them in Forrest’s car in Dover boarding a Calais-bound ferry.
Megan’s step-mother Tracy Stammers said the family was devastated by her disappearance. In tears, she said: ‘This is completely out of character for Megan. We don’t know how to deal with this, she should be at home with us.

‘She is the most beautiful and loveliest young girl ever and we just want her home safe.’

On ask.fm, a website where members ask each other questions, Megan was asked four days ago whether she felt excited or curious about her future.
She replied: ‘Excited, because I know what is to come...’ She also said her motto in life was YOLO, an acronym for ‘You only live once’.

FORREST'S FLIRTATIOUS MESSAGES  'AIMED AT SCHOOLGIRL'

'I wanna wake up naked next to youkissing the curve in your clavicle'
Forrest’s wife, Emily, 31, recently described in an online post how the couple married in a castle last year and had ‘never looked back’ after moving to their home in Ringmer in East Sussex in 2009.

But a neighbour of the couple, who asked not to be named, yesterday said they had repeatedly fought during their time living there. She said: ‘They’ve been here three years and it’s been absolute hell because they row constantly.

‘Sometimes their rows were so intense I phoned the police. Nothing ever came of it though and the rows continued.

‘I’d worry for that schoolgirl’s safety if I was her mother. I don’t know what happened with his wife, but it didn’t sound pleasant. From their rows, I’d say he didn’t sound like the kind of person you’d want near your child.’

Even Forrest’s father was aghast at his son’s behaviour and urged him to return Megan to her family.
Jim Forrest, a 59-year-old IT worker, said: ‘We’re all devastated. Everyone in the family is just saying “what?!” They can’t believe it.
‘In Britain, everyone is innocent until proven guilty, we know that, but first things first, let’s get them back. I’ve tried to contact Jeremy, but his phone is off. I told him “call me, I know what’s going on”.
‘Jeremy has always had a real passion for teaching. I once ran a school football team alongside him, and I can tell you categorically, children looked up to him and respected him. He is a popular teacher with students.

‘He’s a passionate musician and has been in a band since he was 14. A 15-year-old girl has gone missing and we know that this is serious stuff. We’re under no illusions what it could mean, but let’s get them home and then deal with it.’

Police said the couple boarded a ferry at 9.20pm on Friday in Forrest’s black Ford Fiesta car, registration number of GJ08 RJO.
Megan was described as 5ft 6in tall, slim, with long dark brown hair. She was last seen wearing a white vest top and a silver necklace.

  1. I can't get past the "kissing the curve in your clavicle" line. That is just odd. This is an excellent blog post, by the way.

  2. Provides a real insight to the poor couples relationship. Life isn't fair and if they're in love, they'll only see eachother when she's legal and if he's not done for anything serious. All the best for the future- Love Poppy xoxox
