Na Your Tongue Cause Am.....

Hello Friends!

I would advice that the book of James 3:1-end is read for a clear and proper understanding of the effects of the right or wrong use of the tongue.
Proverbs 18:21 "Death and Life are in the power of the tongue and they that love it, will eat its fruit". Plain and simple. No hidden meaning in there at all... My dear friends, story full ground...

I remember when I started on my present job 3 years ago, I came across an article that has greatly changed my "talk Life". At work today, listening to two dear colleagues argue, my mind was taken back to that article. This negative character trait (Gossip) is prevalent everywhere: At Home, Church, Office environment, Schools, Government etc.

Gossip is defined as the casual talk about people and their personal affairs. There is good gossip – which is defined as casual and informal talk, that often provides useful information. And then there is bad gossip – which is essentially a casual talk that turns into harmful speech. It is the bad gossip that does the most damage.
Tale bearing is a term that includes lying, gossiping, slandering, whispering, speaking ill and in some cases, even seemingly innocent blabbing. All tale bearing are evil and should be condemned, whether the tales are true, false, malicious or merely foolish, stand against them! Gossip is one of the most common problems in the work place as well as in relationships.
Thousand of relationships have been destroyed by it, many employees have lost respect and regard towards their employers that have time to engage in this habit.
Also, many employers have resolved to do away with employees who spend valuable time ‘tearing down’ their colleagues and bosses alike with gossips and tale bearings! The biggest problem with gossip and tale bearing is that people don’t even realize or they just ignore the impact of gossips.

A  friend of mine who is both a Consultant and a Psychologist, once told me that people who habitually engage in gossips and tale bearing, are those who are either in need of too much attention or vindictive in nature. A handful of them are pathological liars and whenever they give any information, you must verify it’s authenticity.
The harmful effects of gossips and tale bearing, can be seen from this true story: A new convert invited his church members to dinner to celebrate his house warming. Among the church members, pastor Tobi was the first to arrive at the venue. The happy celebrant offered pastor Tobi a seat amongst his close friends who most probably were still unbelievers… A little while later, all sorts of drinks ranging from alcoholic to non alcoholic drinks were served. At the table where Pastor Tobi sat, were cups filled with stout belonging to other guests but Pastor Tobi requested for a malt drink.

Not long after, a member of the church arrived and sighted the pastor drinking a dark liquid from a cup and she immediately concluded that the pastor was drinking stout! This is because bottles of stout were still on the table. Before other guests began to arrive, the table had been cleared and food was served so the only person who happened to witness the scene of the drink, became so enraged about the pastor’s sin of taking alcohol that she spread the news like wild fire! Unknown even to the pastor, she captured the scene on her mobile phone!...

Watch this space for the concluding part of this story.
One will never know the damage that negative gossips can do, until it happens to you…

Last words: Occupy your mind and time with constructive information from the right sources…

XOXO
Simply Cheska.
