Hello Friends!

It's been one of the most publicized film events of the year.
So it's no surprise that the final installment of the Twilight Saga has beaten off all other competition to top the US box office charts for the third week in a row.

Pulling in $17.4 million during its third weekend, the film just managed to beat Skyfall into second place.
Twilight Breaking Dawn: Part II, which has had a number of premieres and film events all over the world, is reaping the rewards of its heavy promotional drive.

The vampire film, which stars Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart, has smashed box office records and now earned a total of $254.6 million in North America and Canada since it opened on November 16.

Failing to budge from the top spot, the fifth and final film of the franchise has now broken the £700 million mark globally.

The popular film wasn't toppled by Sam Mendes's Skyfall, which has sat at second place in the charts for two weeks in a row.

The James Bond film missed out on the top spot by the skin of its teeth, earning £7 million this weekend.
But the Daniel Craig spy thriller has currently pulled in £850 million worldwide.

Brad Pitt's new crime film Killing Them Softly, which was released in the UK over two months ago, also opened this weekend in the US, but to poor box office sales.

Although the critics seemed to like the hard-hitting gangster film, US audiences clearly didn't as it debuted at just seventh place this weekend, earning $7 million in ticket sales.

Steven Spielberg's historical drama, Lincoln, also did well at the weekend, coming in at third place with ticket sales of $13.5 million.
