A tale of BBA housemates

Obi-Uchendu, Igho, Nwachukwu

Hello Friends!

Ebuka Obi-Uchendu no longer fashionable?

At the M-net launch of the Africa Magic channels held recently in Lagos, some ex-Big Brother Housemates Ebuka, Uti Nwachukwu and Karen were present. Not a few guests were surprised at Ebuka, the lawyer who earned himself a reputation as the playboy in the first ever Big Brother Nigeria reality TV show. Hitherto known for his fashion sense and clean cuts, he was a clear departure from his former self in only a fading stripped shirt and black trousers which may have equally seen better days. He looked out of place among others who were very well dressed.

Karen buys a house

She stood no chance of getting the $200,000 prize money until she embodied the essence of the show by being real to herself and viewers alike. Towards the end of the show, Africa joined the rest of the world and accepted her for who she is, thus establishing her as the first Nigerian female winner of the show. Wondering what she did to her prize money? She quickly replied, “Well, my grandma always wanted a dream house, so I have bought one for her. I have also launched a T –shirt line, known as ‘Karenified.”

Uti Nwachukwu not a ‘good’ boy after all!

Apart from his numerous modelling deals and role as host of the M-Net TV talk show Jara, his musical video, Once in my life, was adjudged best rock music video on Channel O’. Suave model and TV presenter, Uti Nwachukwu has also scored himself starring roles in some prominent Nollywood movies. But he’s got to be careful and protect himself against the Nollywood typecast syndrome. Of this, he said, “there is always this temptation to cast me as the lover boy or the good boy. I told them, I am a good boy in real life, I want to be wicked in movies.”
