About Susan Peters' .5 Million Naira BB Porsche

Click for Full Image Size

Hello Friends!
Like my mum would say" so long as I can receive calls and send text messages, my brand of phone does not matter". Mummy? I am beginning to truly agree with you:
One of the readers of Nigeriafilms. sent this picture to them showing up and coming Nollywood actress, Susan Peters posing with her new Blackberry Porsche.

We learnt that the mobile device, which is one of the newest Blackberry models from RIM, makers of Blackberry, costs between 450,000 Naira and half a million naira.

With a Blackberry Torch, an iPad and a Range Rovers Sports SUV to her kitty, is getting a BB Porsche a show of class?

Last Words: I sincerely feel that every human being(professional or business minded individual/un employed as the case may be) should have daily, monthly and yearly priorities...
If getting a Blackberry Porsche is one of Susan's priorities, let her be and enjoy it! However, I don't think it's a show of class...

Don Jazzy, D'Banj Break-Up Rumour Another Publicity Stunt?

Hello Friends!
All we hear of now in our entertainment industry are "stunts" channeled towards salvaging dwindling musical/movie careers. I am not so sure if D'Banj and Don Jazzy's break up news/rumour, is any exception:
Yesterday, news broke like harmattan fire of Don Jazzy and his Mohits label vice-chairman, D'Banj parting ways, after about 8 years together. It might interest you to know that since the gist broke online yesterday, none of the duo have debunked or confirmed the story through any media, especially their twitter handles.

There were reports that their label manager, Sunday Are has also not talked about the rumour as he usually does in the past.According to unconfirmed gist getting to Nigeriafilms.com from some birds in the know, we learnt that this might just be another publicity stunt by Don Jazzy and D'Banj to sell the latter's album release in June this year.

"Don't forget that his last interview on Sahara reporters has made him lost some fans. The fuel subsidy story carried by your site (Nigeriafilms.com) is still there. This may just a calculated attempt to draw public attention to themselves, the source toldNigeriafilms.com.

Another source said, "you know D'Banj will release his album in June, he needs something to keep people busy talking about him in the media. I don't see any break up, it is just a cheap publicity stunt, the source concluded. You will recall that D'Banj came under hot criticisms by fans who felt he was not sensitive to plights of some of his fans who pay through their noses to patronize him.

Do you think this break-up rumour between Don Jazzy and D'Banj is just another publicity stunt to sell D'Banj's new album to be released in June?

Two escape death as jeep plunges into canal

The vehicle

Hello Friends!
I recommend 120 strokes of the cane as punishment for Azzez, the actor in this shocking story:
A job seeker identified simply as Azeez and a 10-year-old boy, Tomilola Tunde, escaped death by the whiskers in Ilorin on Sunday when a Sport Utility Vehicle in which they were in plunged into a canal.Azeez, 25, is a neighbour to the boy’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Kayode Tunde, who live at Global Soap Quarters, New Yidi Road, Ilorin, Kwara State.

PUNCH Metro learnt that the boy’s mother, who declined to give her name, but popularly known as Iya Tuns, had just returned from church service with the SUV when Azeez approached her and offered to wash the vehicle. But she was said to have declined on the grounds that the SUV was cleaned.

While she observed her siesta, according to an eyewitness, Azeez was said to have taken the SUV’s key from where it was kept and cleaned the vehicle. When he finished cleaning it, he was said to have turned the ignition on and the vehicle hit a nearby house.

Girl loses eyes after acid attack by suitor...

Lateefah

Hello Friends!
Why would any man be this cruel? Why would a mere man give himself to so much hate and evil? It's so sad!!!
When a man, Alabi Olokode, made advances to Lateefah Adesope, a National Diploma holder, the lady simply turned him down on the grounds that her heart was not with him.Like a desperate man that he is, Olokode persisted. But Lateefah maintained her stand. This, however, did not go down well with the desperate suitor.

As usual, Lateefah set out for mosque around 5.30am on December 30, 2011, for her prayers. She said, “I was on my way to say my morning prayers at Tekunudeen Mosque, Aboru on Friday, December 30, 2011, when Olokode, who was hiding near the mosque, suddenly called my name. As I turned back, he poured a liquid substance on my face.

‘My husband runs away when rent is due’

Hello Friends!
It's funny sometimes when you hear of the various funny but real happenings is most marriages...It just makes me wonder!
A 37-year-old woman, Mrs. Ada Amonu, told a Grade ‘B’ Customary Court sitting in Oshodi, Lagos, on Monday that her estranged husband, Andrew, was in the habit of absconding from home whenever their rent was due.She said Andrew resorted to the mischievous act in a calculated attempt to evade rent payments, thereby putting the burden on her.

Ada, a businesswoman, who urged the court to dissolve her 10 years marriage, said her 49-year-old husband was irresponsible and did not care about his family. She said, “My husband shies away from his primary responsibilities on the home front. Even when he has money, he spends it all alone on frivolities.

“Whenever the rent of the flat where we reside in Oshodi is due, he will run away from home and return weeks after I might have paid the rent.“Even at that, he extorts money from me at will. Whenever I am unable to meet his demands, he beats me up and doesn’t stop until I sustain injuries.

Dakore Denies Plans of Quitting Acting...

Hello Friends!
Here's some entertainment news...
Pretty actress and new mother of one,Dakore Egbuson is back on the movie scene, after she took a long break to nurture her marriage.

The happy mother who recently delivered a baby girl for her husband,Olumide Akande in Chicago,United States of America,is back to Nollywood.
She took all by surprise last week, when she walked into the hall of Silverbird Galleria, during the premiere of Emem and Ini?s new movie,?I'LL Take My Chance?.

This is because not much has been heard or seen of the actress who relocated to the States, shortly after her marriage to Olumide, the son of a Nigerian billionaire and politician,Harry Akande,as it was rumoured that she was going to quit acting after marriage.

In a recent interview, she was asked;there are rumours that you have quit acting after you got married;she said Nooo! You see, people just put that notion out there and unfortunately nobody asked me,people can say what they want to say,but at the end of the day,it?s my life and I know what I want to do with my life, priority first like I said I keep being who I am,an actress who loves what she does, but I have to make sure my family is fine,it is all about balancing between my family and career.

Asked, have you been doing anything to enhance your career;she said You see,it is a gradual process, right now,I am looking at some scripts and if I find something that interests me,I will come back to work but for now I am focusing on my baby.
