Bombings: Fawehinmi sues Jonathan, SSS, seeks IBB’s arrest...

Mohammed Fawehinmi, son of the late human rights lawyer, Chief Gani Fawehinmi, has sued President Goodluck Jonathan and heads of the national security agencies for the increasing spate of bombings in the country.

Fawehinmi also asked Justice Binta Nyako of a Federal High Court, Lagos for a leave to apply for an order of mandamus compelling the arrest of former military President, Gen. Ibrahim Babangida.

Lizzy Anjorin, Iyabo Ojo's Fight Resurrects**

One of the longest running beefs between two top Yoruba actresses- Iyabo Ojo and Lizzy Anjorin seems not to end anytime soon.In a recent interview with Lizzy, she said, "I don’t want to talk about Iyabo Ojo. If you ever catch me talking about her, do what you like to me. *That's Harsh!

But contrary to what she earlier said above of not talking about Iyabo, Lizzy recounted the genesis of her bitter fight with Iyabo when she said, "how could I have fought her over a man? It was the same old ‘aunty’ issue that caused the problem between both of us. She said I should be calling her ‘Aunty’ and I refused. I’m older than some people in the movie industry, but I don’t think I ought to fight them because they don’t call me ‘aunty.’ This thing happened a few years ago. She is not my friend, I don’t know her, and we don’t talk to each other.

A Lagos court has dissolved the marriage between a couple after the wife cut off her husband’s penis with a knife.The 28-year old woman, Janet Uduak was dragged to a customary court in Lagos State, Southwest Nigeria by her husband, Kolawole Richard, for using a kitchen knife to slice his penis when he attempted to have sex with her.

Janet, mother of a kid, allegedly carried out the act because her husband demanded for sex from her against her wish.Richard was seriously injured and as a result, he cannot have erection again.The incident happened at 19, Jagun street, Okokomaiko, on the outskirts of Lagos.

Don Jazzy & D'Banj Break Up???

Unconfirmed report getting to Nigeriafilms.com has it that Don Jazzy and D'Banj may soon finally break-up. According to a report by Daily Trust, the two A-list celebs, who have had smooth working relationship are rumoured to presently have serious misunderstanding between them.

The report say that the differences is about a supposed present ego and change of lifestyle of D'Banj.

Don Jazzy is reported to have moved from their once shared Lekki home. D'Banj is said to be angry at the delay in his album release and also not getting a large chunk of profit from their deal with Kanye West's G.O.O.D Music.

Could this rumour be true?

One feared dead, 40 vehicles vandalised in Lagos violence

One person was feared dead and 40 vehicles vandalized on Sunday as hoodlums went on the rampage in Ebute-Meta area of Lagos.

PUNCH Metro learnt that two tricyles and seven shops were also vandalized during the violence when some youths suspected to be supporters of Mr. Alao Owolabi, a member of the House of Representatives, representing the Lagos Mainland Constituency, clashed with some hoodlums in the area.

An eyewitness, who craved anonymity, said the lawmaker’s supporters besieged the area to avenge the harassment meted out to him by some hoodlums on Saturday.He said, “Yesterday (Saturday), when he (Owolabi) was driving home, some youths hailed and wanted him to give them some money. But he declined and the youth banged his car in annoyance. So, the lawmaker brought in some policemen and identified the man who banged his car. However, the youth did not allow the policemen to take the man away and this resulted in a fight. During the fight, the lawmaker’s cloth was torn.
